hey..just saw this thread today...im looking for fellow metalheads also..we can jam in my place, got some instruments there already..(drums, bass amps, a couple guitar amps, guitars, bass, )

We entered the clash 2010 1st heat and played a full set of metallica songs...songs from the old metallica albums (creeping death, 4 horsemen, master of puppets, fade to black)..

we lost hahaha

send me a PM if your in for some jamming and to meet metal heads here in doha..maybe we can cook up something

Punk is better... when new school is still underground. Nofx, Descendents, Lagwagon, The Lawrence arms... A few bands who produced good music until emo became mainstream. Old school punk is good too but it's not my scene though I listen to misfits, the clash, stiff little fingers to some extent... If Metal music is your thing try to listen to underground metal though I don't know where you can find it here in Qatar.

for me i really like punk .. cuz there are alot of metal bands inspired by punk .. and its not just a noisy fast music .. its PUNK lol

Public parks like bida and the one near Markhiya will be easy with ready made stage and audience seatings.

You should perform live on public beach ...near intercontinental hotel on a Friday Evening...

Long back there was one such place in Bandra, Mumbai called Band-Stand....today the bands are banned there only lovers hang out there by the waves :(

Qatar wasts the money on the most ridiculous thing that you ever imagine and they dont even care about Rock n roll and metal and all the genres that under the Rock n roll umbrella ..

and i really would love to jam with u oneday or with the other guys in here .. what ever genre it is ..

well all great bands are going to dubai with none passing by qatar!! this really sucks...

been playing the electric guitar for a decade, but im an old school rock/chicago blues guitarist looking forward to starting a band or even jamming sessions, whereas for you metal heads... good luck with ur quest!

i went to see maiden at rock in rio 2008 it was god it was heavy ..

and i'v seen metallica alot over the years

i'v seen them 3 times this tour ..

they are like gods on stage they got the in ur face attitude again this band kicks so much ass these days their preformnce these days is better than 10 years ago..

that would be awesome man ..i still prefer to have like 8-13 people as a metal community and go for a dinner or a coffee and talk and know each others ..before the gigs and all the other kinda stuff

thanx btw .. i hope this community gets bigger very fast now we got 2 lol

like we can organize an outdoor evrymonth gig just for metal and evrybody headbangin in there..for sure that wud be alot of fun and excitement.
