How Fearing Kids Here Now a Days!

I was walking in the street just came from work and get some stuff in the supermarket near our accommodation (wearing a Business Suit). It’s around 8 in the evening. There is a group of teenagers in front of one “BAKALA”. As I’ am passing by they are looking with me, but I ignored and continuous walking and suddenly with a very surprise somebody embrace me at the back with his two hands is both in my chest! (And the worst that there is also a land cruiser with teenagers inside that are laughing while watching there friend do such a very bad things) I cannot do something since my arms are both stuck. Only the thing I can think is a HEAD BUTT that causes him to let go & run. And even thou I’m a little dizzy I ran as fast as I can inside our accommodation. That is 20 steps away! I never have a good look in the vehicle since I was really scared to death. ! They are all wearing a traditional white and I cannot determine if they are all Qataris or not!
Our watchman see few things that happen but never have a chance to come to me, for the fear also! He saw me running away & the vehicle go in rush. I cannot file a report because I don’t have a chance to determine the faces. And even thou there is some witness, I know they will not bother for the reason they don’t want there selves to get in trouble! That I know & understand! (Especially we are all expat, I know that helping can causes problem)
I’m very scared and very sad also considering that I have 3 sons and two are already teenager and praying that my children will always be GOD FEARING. I feel pity to there parents raising a D****L child! And bear in my mind that never I will ignore such an innocent looking teenager!
And is there a place to buy STUN GUN here & is this allowed? I have before but when I go here in Qatar for fear that is not allowed in the airport I leave it!

We really have to bear in mind that we have to focus in any incident but when it’s really in our way all is missing & gone because of fear. Even thou our country is mess up in some way I never experience the youngster do such that actual act!

Just be strong ladies we really have to pursue GABRIELA SILANG everywhere.

What happen to me really frightened me, but i have to beat it. And I know from this time i will be really careful with everybody around.

because of losers like this even decent guys like me cant walk on the road without the eye of suspicion from the ladies. It just takes 1 rotten apple to spoil the rest doesn't it.

am glad someone brought this up becoz i had a bad experience as well. this happened almost 2 months ago. i went to visit my friend at mansoura and parked a block away from their building as there is no space available. i left her place at around 10 pm. though she offered to accompany me back to my car, i told her i'll be fine because she was not feeling well. and as i was walking towards my car and fumbling for my keys in my bag, a lancruiser just screeched right in front of me with 2 young men in front. i was walking on the sidewalk and it drove straight up i thought they will hit me. they just came out of nowhere and the car's headlight is off. and the passenger door opened and i saw 2 more guys. they were all wearing the white arab dress and no way for me to know their nationality but they were i believe in their 20's. i was frozen with shock and fear and stood like a statue. one of the guys from the back was about to come down from the car when another car's headlight approaches he immediately went back inside and they sped off. my mistake was that panic and fear overwhelmed me and i wasn't able to get their license plate # and their faces were like a blur for me at that time. i was shaking so hard i mustered my strength and run. the moment i was inside my car i cried out of relief. i am so grateful for the car that passed by that night. he unknowingly just saved me from those bastards. i have been here for 3 years. aside from the cat calls i or my friends get from time to time from maniacs, this is the worst thing that ever happened to me. the incident happened for a minute but it is the longest minute in my entire life. i still shudder every time i get flashbacks and thoughts of what could have been. just want to share this story to inform everyone especially women to be more safe. there are a lot of maniacs roaming around. and yeah i want to know where i can get those mace. i really want to buy for me and my friends.

I feel a shame from those who act as Qataris.

These teenagers are the bad example.

Every where there is the bad and the good.

Those kids need to learn how to respect people. It is sad to know that they can just do things they like even if its bad. Sorry to hear such experience Nylha.

WELL, STUPID PARENTS WILL BORE STUPID CHILDREN AS SIMPLE AS THAT AND THEY ARE SCATTERED IN THIS PLACE.

BE CAREFUL NEXT TIME....

I think now Qatar is also slowing becoming unsafe.

Women need to be wary of boys/ men of all ages it seems.

I think Nyla instead of a Stengun, try to enroll for some Karate or kungfu classes like Rizks mentioned and look out for your self.

Plus try to walk outside with other people and not alone - because perhaps crowds will deter these boy- men.

Sorry that you were troubled and thanks for bringing it out in the forum and letting others know , warning them to be careful.

I do tell this to my manager but I know to my self that there is no urges to keep the incident to go far since I do not have any thing only my story & my watchman. And blind witness.

but this very bad experience really open my eyes.

I pray it will never happen to me again, but i will always prepare my self for my children sake & me!

Is this how they are being taught during the preparation of Ramadan? for all those religious culprits here in QL, teach your children the right manners first before you preach us.....sorry for the hijack:)

Complain to your employer and the building manager/owner. It takes a whole society to work together to eradicate sexual harassment and assault.

Sorry you had that experience. :-(
