the place is mostly crowded every day. but if you go around 6pm and then later 9pm you might get a lane at the same time. else you have to wait for your turn. prefered days we QLers mostly go on monday night.

Saturday, ... went for a bowling game, played 6 games in a row and in one of them i scored my highest and best ever [6 Strikes, 2 Spares and 188 score :)], had lunch there ... Watched a movie in Cinema ... Had dinner & fun at a close friend house, watch something on TV [WOW :)] ... then went home ...

4x4 is not must for all those places i mentioned. yea you might find them paradise with your boyfriend when you will see not even a bird flying there. for camping Fuwairit and Zubara are better Get on google map and check the coastal side you will find them.

Abu Dhabi is great, its like Qatar. U will have a great time there, just visit malls and have some coffee, the time will fly by and u will be here in no time :D. Have a safe flight, what time do u leave?

I'm taking a course in August and it is a killer...assignments and lesson preparations every night. Taking a social night out during this course is unheard of (even on weekend nights).

But that's what you get for an intensive course.

A little stressed, off to Abu dhabi to restart my visa here tonight when I return, will that be ok???

I had a nice weekend here, nothing out of the usual actually, every day to me is a weekend, nights on Ql, sleep in the day time, evenings out with friends different place different day, practice for SATS and sheeshas at night lol.

This weekend was just a little Irish harp and sheesha on thursday, friday went to fudruckers and sheesha and today went for a walk at aspire and villagio for once in my life time lol. But have a busy week ahead... lets see how that goes.

having to buckle up in the back seat but I will from now on. In the front, it's second nature to wear a seat belt but half the time the taxi seat belts don't properly work in the back!! Torque, interesting to hear your story..no doubt it would have been worse though without the belt...(do you set off the airport X-ray machines?!)

This time we were lucky AGAIN, I guess. Novita, the driver sorted out the insurance, etc. as we rely upon taxis for the moment. So far, my husband was almost run down by a lorry that didn't give him space, then our family was almost wiped out crossing the carpark in City Centre by a kamikazi driver, and we were almost crushed by a car that hurtled out of control along side us (saved by fate?). We must have some guardian angels. Brunch was great, I must add...:-)

Sounds like you were reasonably lucky, being rear-ended is one of my worst fears when driving having been hit so hard years ago in the UK that my shoulder required surgery (now full of screws..), that was from the seat-belt....! Still wear one, whether in the front or back, but at lights etc I've always got a weather eye on that rear-view mirror, just in case.....

Novita, hell I called into my office in Dubai this morning...! True! I think I smelt like a brewery though lol...

Though fully admit I'm not looking forward to hearing that bloody alarm clock going off...

We went for BBQ to friend's house on friday night ..., this noon took son to watch hellboy with Irrysa's movie group. Nearly fall asleep in some part, but son thought the movie was awesome.
