Inspired by the post of Smk1361 who's asking about the right age to get married to all the guys out there who are happily married how did you know that this man/ lady is the right one for you, what made you decide that you want to spend your life with her/him?
you will know that you are perfect for each other if you realize that you can accept all his shortcomings.
1. if you can accept the smell of his breath after he woke up.
2. if you can find it cool evertime your partner is wearing a skiny green pants with very loose yellow shirt with a huge gold rubber shoes with a brown towel at his back to avoid too much sweating.
3. if you find yourself hurting everytime someone is hurting your partner.
4. if you feel like you don't want to sleep and wake up without his message, or his call on your mobile.
5. if your ready to accept his proposal without any doubt.
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. i make mistakes, i am out of control, and at times hard to control, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.
other notes: if he can except me the way i am and still loving me, he is the one for me.
Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
but have also to disagree with you ... WE make love do that to us, but love it by itself? It is the purest and most beuatiful thing that a human can ever had ... that is why ... it is so painful but in the same time ... no one would do nothing or take the risk of falling in love ... Your love can be great, can be bad , can be anything else ... but WE are who make it this way ...
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (Gautama Buddha)
I agree with that.... don't put someone on a pedastal because they will never live up to your expectations.
Enjoy being together and the vast majority of the time you are happy happy then talk nicely to each other about 'issues' but dont expect to mould someone into your idea of perfection....accept their idioscynchracies as part of their charm.
you'll just feel it when the right time comes. In the eyes of others, the person may not be the right person for you. But if THAT PERSON makes you feel safe, peaceful/relaxed...makes you feel that you want time to just STOP...because you wanted to be with the person every time...maybe HE/SHE is THE ONE for you...but...
Sometimes, you may think you found him/her but time will come you will realize that he/she wasn't it...and though it is hard...you would need to let go. Not to seek your hapiness elsewhere but to let him/her find who he truly deserve.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" -Eleonor Roosevelt
to tell ... as everyone got his own perspectives and look to the other people. What is perfect for me would never be applicable to the others, what the others love to see in their partners may not be what I would love to see in my partner.
Well thexonic I do agree with you in that love is blind but not stupid. You won't see anyone in front of you but her, you would be breathing the air when she is only around you will feel the opposite if she would be far away even for quiet some time, you would feel the pain when she is gone, you will feel so lonely and sad being again by yourself, not for being alone, but for knowing that you somehow lost something, wasted your and maybe her time working on something that won't work ...
but ... regardless of all of that and there is of course more, if she will ask you to throw yourself out of a high place or drown yourself in the middle of the sea ... Of course you won't, why? Mind there still working regardless of bein in love ...
Love is not stupid, love won't make us be stupid as there is no stupidity in love ... while you are in love ... everything looks fine ... but , when everything is taken away .. other things will come back to you ... back then .. you would understand and see your life so different ...
Reason? You would be always looking back, never forget the past and that is why the past is useful but not nice ... would always be there to guide you, but not to make you always happy ..
Love would make you do anything no matter what is it ... those things
were not stupid when you did it back then, but now you realize or feel
that you've done those for nothing ... that is when you feel that you
were not suppose to be like that or do any of that ...
Talking about this is really heart breaking, but ... sometimes we gotta face our fears, wipe our tears, put emotions a side and ... think of everything again and again ...
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (Gautama Buddha)
our past relationships really affect our current and future relationships....
before we gave everything and there's no limitations as if we can conquer the world.... but now we are into controlling our emotions and putting too much limitations to ourselves
Falling in love lol. Yes I was in love once, deeply in love, i would have given up my life for her if i had to. But I wouldnt give up my relegion, hence things fell apart. That day I realised, that love is blind and stupid, it doenst understand the value of religion or other values, thats all brain's job. There's no chance that i will fall in love, where i am, lightnings dont happen. Playin it safe.
Nadt, I didnt mean that i would own her, actually i will own her but only if she wants me to own her, there's nothing funny about it. In the same way she will own me too.
mistakes done ones must not be repeated. I dont let things get to my heart easily. May be because I havent completly recovered from my last heart break, been 4 years, i still miss her sometimes. But then its only a matter of time... love fade's away if not maintained.
All that i know is that a woman should be a Lady in public and frick when she is alone with her man. And a man should be a gentleman at all times no matter what happens.
you will never know.... relationship is a long journey, sometimes you would feel that he/she is the one but other times you feel like dumping him/her in a garbage bin..

Thexonic doesn't understand love, yet. All men start with a list of things like this. One day they will be struck by lightning - the ONE's sight. Then there is no coming back. You can see thexonic flipping and dancing to her tune. Wait until he discovers true love. :) The I am sure thexonic wouldn't mind letting go of his 'principles.' LOL.
"Life is like a bicycle, if it's too easy - you're probably going down :)"
Good luck Thexonic. Just make sure your house has see-through glass windows. The property rates of the house next to you is bound to raise many times. Hope I'll buy that house and cash it in when the demand goes up.

You know it when it comes to u, but basically it all depends on how u think and your company. For me for example, I cannot survive with a pakistani girl even a single day, because the traditions that i follow are completely differnt from the pakistani traditions, I think in a very open minded manner, most pakistani girls have cultural obligations on thinking liberally, thats the way they grew up not their fault. Not just pakistanis, even alot of other nationalities. The nationaliities only play their part when it comes to the culture and tradition. Think about it, If married to a girl who comes from a conservative family, she will never agree to walk around the house half naked lol. Hell my wife is my property, I want her to dress up that way, but she wont agree lol. Generalizing upon the culture where the girl comes from and the way they grow up, I can say a pakistani, jordanian, palestinian, syrian, khaleeji (gulf), indian or whichever the country that has Islam's influence a girl would never approve of such thing as being half naked around the house all the time until havin kids (by the way this is just an example), she would like to be dressed up and I wouldn't recommend, but I wont say no since she has her own will too... hence, not my type. Which leads to the only choice where girls are convservative in public yet quite open at home... = guess... hehehe yes Lebanese... Since I am limited to choose a shia muslim girl, thats the ultimate choice. A shia muslim girl who would join me in argeela, wouldnt mind hanging out with other friends both guys and girls, who would have a liberal view on politics and has the tendency to agree to disagree, who has high level of patience, smart, knows belly dancing, yet prays 5 times a day, would dress up to please me at home but in public would be in proper clothing, oh and deifently would know how to cook lebanese food dang, perfect wife omg. I do care about her not being heavy weight (since everyone in my family is as plum as me lol), so I would loose this weight for her, a girl who'd be fair and has good sense of judgement, someone who's a warrior outside and very sweet and sensetive inside. If I find such girl, I would marry her right now.
lol yeah its great! I spose we knew each others 'minds' before we met and built on that. We've got a daughter now and I'm convinced shes real not cyber lol she'll be very real when she wakes up at 5am lol
True supernurse..but look how well it turned out for you, and i know a few people who are happily married after meeting on online and now have cyber children......
nadt, NO!He definately didn't mention the snoring on his profile lol Should have reported him to msn for violation of the truth lol Its weird cos you have to actually meet them in person and the witty person online could turn into a crazy boring cyber junkie in real life lol!
Well id prefer jack the ripper than snoring..lol...Did he give you an indication he snores on msn..lol....On a serious note, dont feel bad, i think its romantic these days to meet online. I feel like meeting my hubby at a dinner partyorganised by a friend is boring..hehehe...
nadt lol, as it happened I was in Abu Dhabi and he was in UK and knew people I knew so we had a good headstart! luckily he wasn't a psycho lol...he's snoring on the sofa beside me and doesn't look much like Jack the ripper lol
yeah.....I spose it is...you're right!Still feel uncomfortable saying we met in a chat room, people think I mean a seedy dating site but it was like this sort of thing but quicker lol
Supernurse, internet is an integral part of peoples lives these days and its another avenue for meeting people, especially for people who work long hours or arent exposed to the opposite sex in their workplace, its not sad, its a new way. Just count yourself lucky though he wasnt a psycho, as their are lots of psychos online.....
My hubby and i both knew we wanted to spend our life together from the day we met, 8 years later we still feel the same way. I agree with gypsy, its about meeting the right time in your life and you just know they are the "one"..

So my advice: Try your best to find your soulmate. Set a time, say before you turn 28. If you don't find your soulmate by then don't get depressed. Soulmates are really hard to find. Settle for someone with more money - the more the better. Just ensure you don't marry someone with some sadomasochistic traits. Enjoy life.
