"I don’t think that as a bad thing thou as indirectly I’m also updating myself on what’s going on with my friends.."...I would rather prefer to be updated in person about friends/ acquaintances cos updating myself about all, I consider, is neither required nor relevant. If something worth sharing happens we just drop a line on a mail with the links or otherwise or just give a call. Helps me avoid sharing too much information on net and having a real life then a life through waves. Then I dont need to say, to give my life back as I am constantly in touch with it...:)

Brit: )I was surprised recently to get a message from a friend thanking me for a birthday card I'd sent her on Facebook!!

Sure did want my friend to have a happy birthday, but I didn't intend to sent her anything!.

The Orwellian Big Bother, is watching us. But that's the thing, people give away their information for free of their own choice. Who says anything is secure online. It's a risk we are willing to take, so be it :)

Well I actually do think that social network such as Facebook/Twitter/QL in particular has taken over our lives. People are using Facebook for different purposes such as for personal reasons, business or even political reasons like in the US for example, where some political activists used Facebook as a way to get closer to the public. In my opinion, this is so because the common Joe has realised that social media is an important platform to utilise . a Window to a world of opportunities.

As for myself, I would say that I’m addicted to using social media, be it Facebook , you-tube, skype or BB as I do find myself constantly checking on the updates. I don’t think that as a bad thing thou as indirectly I’m also updating myself on what’s going on with my friends..
