India's first gay-friendly radio station.

MarcoNandoz-01

India's first gay-friendly radio station has set the country's airwaves alight. Though the country decriminalised homosexuality in 2009, many Indians still disapprove of homosexuality, and the #QRadio station sparked some controversy.

You thought I was talking about baby coming out of a mother's womb? The post did not even remotely mention anything about babies coming out of mother's wombs. In fact the post was both a question about turtles and a joke at the same time and it was posted in funnies

Anyway it's not like you do disown your words for the first.

LLR:In case you were too slow to understand, My come out story thread had a gay joke element.

let's take things within context: I said i knew what was going on in your dirty minds.

and in response to that, this is what you said, LLR:

" is not dirty to think what you thought we might be thinking :) it is natural"

i'm sure you weren't talking about the animal cuz obviously that's not what I was joking about. too slow with understanding jokes ?

or simply disowning your own statements as usual?

By fubar• 8 Oct 2013 16:20

Gay just means same sex attraction LLR. A gay man feels for another man what a straight man feels for a woman. Beyond that, they are exactly the same as the rest of the population, surely.

By landloverreview• 8 Oct 2013 16:18
landloverreview

I have read some reports Fubar, I had accepted their research from both sides.. I personally feel abnormal being a gay..but I can't tell what really a GAY feels.. so I would rather ignore it than propagating it..I made my mind that if my kids have something like that I would give them full freedom.

By fubar• 8 Oct 2013 16:06
fubar

That's a flawed premise. How can you determine if a newborn is homosexual?

But I think the question you are trying to ask is whether or not there have been scientific studies that attempt to find a genetic link to homosexual attraction. And the answer is yes, there are a number of studies, with somewhat divergent findings.

Do you want links?

By landloverreview• 8 Oct 2013 15:13
landloverreview

Yeah..you are right.. I had never been gay hence I can't really make any solid statement except accepting the studies & my observation..though my best friend is a gay.. he was not like that few years ago.. he had a girl friend as well. with his lifestyle & conversations with me, I feel that he is not just picking himself up.. however there are scientific reports that sexual orientation can change time to time.. so it is all confusing...

Anyway.. I would second Pope Francis now "Who are we to Judge"

By fubar• 8 Oct 2013 14:56

LLR - homosexuality IS criminalized in a large number of countries, even though the overwhelming body of scientific evidence is that sexual preference is a genetic trait, not a conscious choice.

How can countries criminalize a behavior that people have no control over?

Some Gays Can Go Straight, Study Says

May 9

By Sarah Adler and Edmund Levin

Can gay men and women become heterosexual?

“But Spitzer's study, which has not yet been published or reviewed, seems to indicate otherwise. Spitzer says he spoke to 143 men and 57 women who say they changed their orientation from gay to straight, and concluded that 66 percent of the men and 44 percent of women reached what he called good heterosexual functioning — a sustained, loving heterosexual relationship within the past year and getting enough emotional satisfaction to rate at least a seven on a 10-point scale.”

Tuesday, 3013.

Today marks another history in human rights calendar where all humans who are currently in relationship with their animals are finally allowed the rights to marry their goats and donkeys in a church.

Human activists, after years of research, had concluded that as with Homosexuality, which is not a choice but rather genetic inheritance, a man did not choose to have sex with an animal because it's a sexual preference. No, in-fact they were born with it. It took them years to convinced that Bestiality is normal and finally today, we see the victory of persistence.

It is not religion..it is my own life.. It is science.. Read this article..

http://discovermagazine.com/2007/jun/born-gay#.UlPf09JkP-s

You can talk to any geneticist.. he will say "all humans have male and female hormones in the beginning developmental stages. As we develop, one particular type of hormone becomes more dominant and takes over. In some cases, however, it has been proven that the hormones get 'mixed up' and there are males that end up with more female hormones than average and females with more male hormones than average.

What do you mean by "In Some Cases"??

Fubar, Don't exaggerate.. I am not asking them to criminalize.. you are turning it to something else..I am asking them to first try to fix it by medical means, if they could... however after consultation, if they can't they should have all the rights to live as another human being.. I don't want them to underestimate the available medical advancement today..

Let's go out on a limb here nomerci, and accept (for the sake of the argument) that people are "born defective".

If they are born that way, through no choice of their own (and they are 'defective') do they deserve to be criminalized?

I have trouble with that notion. It reminds me of a dark period of history many, many years ago when your legal rights were determined by the color of your skin.

Come to think of it, in some countries... that still is the case.

Flor, Are you a gay? It has been a long debate and both sides have strong arguments..

I said that there are people who are born as such and there are many who choose this path.

Nommy.. I did not expect this from you that you think my comments are influenced by religion.. nope..not all.. but it is not your mistake.. it is common in secular states that if someone is interested in religion , his argument does not count.. anyway.. You can read more about sexual orientation, research on Gay genes etc.

You may be surprised that I don't even think it is a sin if someone is born that way.. as religious orders don't apply to people who are born defective.
