Jealousy

Elegantlady
By Elegantlady

Have you ever been caught by a green eyed monster – jealousy? Nothing can ruin your work style faster than jealously. I feel that there is jealousy going on among people who work in the same firm and jealous co workers are a constant source of worry for me. If you realize that someone is jealous with you how would you come over this situation? Your success at work will not be a cause for celebration for others. Success breeds success and sadly jealousy. I value your point of views.

It's not love that is blind, but jealousy. yet, he that is not jealous is not in love. So in its own way, jealousy and Love are sisters. But i would finish it by saying Jealousy is a mental Cancer.

Jealousy is simply and directly related to the other person's inferiority complexes. My husband is pretty dark complexioned and short but i m thin and tall and fairly white. Now i wear something good and it suits me well too than he comes back from the door and says that he dont feel like going out.If somebody in his office invites us for dinner he says his wife is from village and he dont feel like bringing her along as I dont know english or hindi..Now if his foreigner friends comes to house for some good indian food he explains them that how much effort his family took to teach me the cooking properly. He feels good in abusing me other's presence. So he enjoys his jealousy and i enjoy his complexes...no rescues..

The sad thing is if the person who's jealous of another is not self aware or is blind to it himself but it's clear as day to others. What goes around, comes around some day.

"And we all know a woman cant be smart and PRETTY at the same time." - Yeah, they can be smart and pretty AND loaded at the same time. :P

/Btw. "loaded" could be a gun in the bun :P

Smokey,At least in this part of the world even a passable face would do the trick,... BTW , keep telling your self that"And we all know a woman cant be smart and PRETTY at the same time. :p" might work as a soother:D

Doesn't she have to be PRETTY for such allegations to be made? And we all know a woman cant be smart and PRETTY at the same time. :p

I am not envious at all of anybody - I have what I want and I am grateful. I am also really pleased when people do well.

Yet - when I first started going to the gym with my husband his PT (a woman) said, to me; his wife...look how gorgeous he is - hasn't he done well - he has lost so much weight etc, etc bleurgh.

I was so like - back off *itch, get your hands of my husband rofl

I know he would never do anything to hurt me and I am so not usually jealous but that time - I was the wife who was saying back off you slim, fit, blonde bombshell rofl.

I had a touch of the green eye then (shame on me). x

I was not jealous of his achievements or her touching him - just jealous of her body - more gym for me then lol x

yes you are very true. In the grip of jealousy, we entirely forget that the true nature of love.To work with jealousy we need, as always with the destructive emotions, to recognize it for what it is as it occurs. My fear is that the jealousy which is a negative form of love should not destroy ones career or success as I hear many stories in which innocent people are the victims of this green eyed monster

1. Make sure you have written official orders. Helps when someone wants to create confusion and mischief.

2. If possible, have eye witness around when you are working with jealous colleagues. Never be alone with them. This way they cannot misconstrue or twist any of your actions or work.

3. Make a double copy of important official documents before filing them.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot guyz for all the comments. Brit, for a moment or so you were jealous at something...bet you!

Women are more likely to be jealous about social relationships; men to envy others in a competitive way.

So jealousy is everywhere

Jealousy is a sad thing to happen, especially for the person who feels jealousy. All of us have, at some point or the other, felt jealous. And the least one can admit to, is the fact that they're feeling jealous and need to get over it with.

It happened to me when I was jealous of my friend who got an opportunity to study abroad when I couldn't. I sulked when I was alone, and when I was with him, I felt low because all talks revolved around his opportunity.

I dunno why, but one day, I just told him straight "Bro, I'm jealous abt ur opportunity." and told him how I felt. I felt so light later, because we had a great talk over how things were changing etc.

The most important thing if you are a part of the jealousy circle, is to talk about it- even if U r feeling jealous or are being the target of a jealous person. Just Talk it out. Things may or may not improve, but its definately not worth keeping excess baggage alongwith you in your heart and mind.
