Looking for good seafood. Anybody know about Little Sailor? Such as can you sit down there, or is it take out, the prices decent, whats on the menu?
Thanks
First off they didnt give us a menu. We picked the seafood we wanted and told him how to cook it. We went upstairs and the surly waiter never said a word to us. He just dropped off some water and plates. Later he brought us some grass and some bread. We didnt know we were suppose to wrap the grass in the flat bread and dip it in the sauce he brought. Live and learn. Finally the seafood showed up. 14 large prawns, some fried, some broiled and two fillets of Hammour. It was excellent. But the only sauces they have is Ketsup and hot sauce. No Tartar or Coctail. So bring your own. Also no sides as we thought it would come with the main course. Wrong. It cost us 110 riyal for the meal and two waters. Not bad for some good seafood. We went back downstairs to leave and we asked for menus. They have lots of side orders, but we didnt get a chance to order any. Surly people working there.
its located at the back of QATAR Navigation building along c-ring and other one is near ROTANA resto near jaidah flyover. you should try this out. i love this resto.
I lied, I have one more question. There is another Little Sailor just off C ring road close to the Toyota signal. I dont remember the name of the road but heading from the Toyota signal on C ring road it is about the second road to the right. Is it the same owner or was it the original building? It had someone inside Friday morning but they would not open the door, it also looked to have tables and chairs.
One more question. Is it cool upstairs or hot like other places? I dont mind waiting but if its hot and the sweat starts accumulating I aint gonna stay long.
Thanks
By the way, its on B ring road, cant tell you exactly as I get lost every time I go down there.
Ate there once. Enjoyed it. But since my friend paid for the food I couldnt quite remember the price range of the dishes (I'm assuming 40-50+ riyals). Basically seafoods on the menu (crabs, shrimps, fishes, squids). Best thing is they're fresh. And yes you can eat there, but before you go up to their second-floor dining area you first have to choose your food like you would at LuLu or any fish market, with the fish, shrimps, etc. and everything arranged on ice. Then they ask you if you have any preference on how you're dish will be cooked. You can tell them if you like it a bit sweet, spicy, or in soup maybe.
The parking is a bit tough though. But personally I think the food was great.

" In my opinion only. . . nothing personal"

Nope, the temperature is nicely controlled. Don't wear a sweater, but a polo and slacks should be just fine. Enjoy...
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough...

Looks like good food huh.. where is the location by the way?
You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving!!!
It was good food and well prepared. We ate 2 persons for 60QR. Plenty of rice and a fish for sharing.
Just make sure you're not in a rush. It takes quite a long time before you get your food. But the atmosphere is nice, so I don't mind.
Enjoy...

Great, I will try it this weekend. I realize nothing is cheap here and expect to pay in the 40 to 50 QR range for almost anything but fast food.
