Mutual Respect
There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation." Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close which each other, we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.
A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted, "Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school." On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me. Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker." She answered, "You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."
Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed.
and maybe that fool's paradise is just what some people need in order to live... :)
thats right visper...thats what it is.
some people live in fool's paradise..:)
if there is good understanding between husband and wife, then these casual jokes don't make a relationship bad
One reach success because of his hard work, not someone elses.. That's what I believe..
I know a guy whose wife turned him into a millionaire. Prior to the marriage he was a multi-millionaire...
it's fine with me if you don't agree with my statement since that is just my belief and that cannot be changed by just knowing that you don't agree with it. It is true that celebrities became famous because of the skills they posses but can you honestly say that it's the only reason why they become famous? have you thought of maybe they may have some inspiration behind the success?
Maybe the "adoring women" is not exactly a good example to point out but you have to leave some room for possibilities...
i think we have a little confusion in terms singular and plurals forms as well... women is plural while woman is singular...as for man is singular and men is plural...just for the record...
when i coined the "i always believe that behind every downfall or success of a man is a WOMAN" doesn't necessarily to be taken singularly...besides who knows if it may have been more than one..the point is there a "woman" (collectively speaking)....
furthermore, i don't think you were asking for clarifications...you were more on stressing disagreement on the statement that i made...or to put it bluntly making an argument...
Lastly, i have to admit that i have gone way over what the real post was intended for...i did not mean to put my one sided opinion on what "a woman can do to a man". but then again an opinion is an opinion..it's not meant to change others perspectives about life...
peace..bless you.. :)
Ya Brad Pitt became a celebrity because of his extraordinary "work" :P
eye_reez,
i didnt agree with the statement that you made as quoted below..
"..i always believe that behind every downfall or success of a man is a WOMAN!!! ;)"
and thats the reason i was talking about celebrities just because high level of success in life turns a person into a celebrity..
now, in your previous post you are telling that..
"..the reason why they became celebrities to begin with is because of those adoring women.."
i dont agree, as people become celebrities because of their extra-ordinary work in their respective fields and the huge fan following after it created by the media.
your sentence contradicts your own initial statement just because a female fan following cannot be termed as a 'a women behind a successful man'..
your initial context meant a single women behind a single successful man.
regarding 'downfall of a man' what you are telling may be partially true but not in all cases.
finally, its you who deviated from the subject of the post initially by your statement...i just asked a clarification for it..:)
peace..
a bird in hand is worth two in the bush but we come to appreciate it only when it is gone...so i agree that we should put some thought into our words especially for our loved ones.
A woman does change a man. For better or for worse, I don't know yet :(
well the reason why they became celebrities to begin with is because of those adoring women... and when the number of those adoring fans starts to dwindle that is when the spotlight changes direction and he is totally forgotten and the reason is not necessarily because they get hooked-up...and that is what we call a career downfall..
and why are we talking about celebrities?...my point,in general, is that men and women should coexists with mutual respect and maybe the "downfall" part was a little harsh and unacceptable to some but you have to accept the fact that these things happen...unless of course if your totally gay...(no offense to the gay community coz i kinda like their company)...hope i made my point clear enough..:)
and your point is?
eye_reez, there is a little difference..:)
women are behind them because they are celebrities..they are not celebrities because women are behind them !!
:-)...don't you think so?
eye_reez,
most of the young male celebrities are bachelors...they marry late into their 40s
how do you think their celebrity status is driven by women in their lives?
i don't have to dream to know that is true.. :)
dreamers...
i agree Tink... and besides i always believe that behind every downfall or success of a man is a WOMAN!!! ;)
i feel its ok to casually joke or pull each other's leg sometimes when they both are in a light mood..it makes the relationship interesting.
however, with time, one understands where to draw the line and which time is a wrong time to crack some jokes..
Mutual tat
guide men to make their fortunes etc...I have never seen it anywhere in any culture.
If anything, its the other way around.
