True, maybe arrange to meet in the pub after Ramadam and make sure you aint got no axe murderers in your midst!  Its a very grey day here in UK and the leaves are falling already... a sign of whats to come me thinks!  Have a good week.  : )

Hey Mercia sounds a good idea although would arrange a neutral meeting place before I accept strangers to my home, yeah don't know any1 @ the base but only few weeks till I'm back in Dubai ! (I think it is only as I can't have it, I crave it more..!)

Hope your having a pleasant Friday

Thats the spirit Jason, you should organise a party and get the newbies round for a beer.   It is unfortunate there is no pork shop in Doha, so unless you know anyone at the base... girls I used to work with hooked up with some amercians and had bacon anytime they wanted! So I guess you will be waiting for your trip to Dubai.  It will be so worth it.

yes mercia well stocked up for ramadan and have a busy work load mainly from the house with a few evening shifts in the office so im hoping it will be ok,Nikki it is hot hear compared to the UK but is bearable thanks to air con, in terms of things to do the malls and the malls are great the museum of islamic art is also very much worth a visit, so your coming in August then? please read up on Ramadan as this is a significant time in the muslim calender and thus must be treated with respect, I have been here a month now, and I felt what you would be feeling now, the people here are great to get on with and im sure you will enjoy your time here, good luck with the transition and with your new job
