Doha during the day, theres nothing to do..after work, u just stay at home cook, watch tv, chat, then sleep.. during the weekend, u can go to corniche for a jog or coffee(park near ocean)- 15 mins drive, or to the beach (sealine) 45 mins drive. u can also go clubbing or just have a drink in sheraton hotel(harp bar) or Ramada hotel (qube disco)...

for some active people, u can join sports clubs or volunteering if it fits your lifestyle.

Other than that, u can just hang out with friends and have fun.. ;)

temper is something u cant get rid of... by loosing it...

al sadd area is good, it is near to supermarkets, malls, money transfer and other necessities. about the lively part, it is rather a very busy part of doha. few mins drive will be Ramada Hotel which is popular for Qube. see you in doha.. :D

I presume you are going to be working. Are you male or female? Anyway when I first moved over my husband and I stayed at Ezdan. I found it to be a good place as I had no friends and made sevceral friends at the poolside, gym etc. There are also restaurants there and a small shop, cages etc. Think 10 k QR upwards pcm. Also it is very near City Centre which is good. However some people don't like Ezdan but as I said it was great for me.

Yo can find accomodation through this website, local newspapers, here there are many estate agencies.

You can join clubs if you have a particular hobby or want to start one. QL has a social group where people meet.

Also reason why I asked if you are a woman, there are loads of womens groups, mostly in the day. If you are working you will also meet lots of people at work and go out with them.

Lovely areas include West Bay Lagoon, ZIG-zag towers, villaggio. It also depends on where your job is as you don't want to be travelling too much.
