I have been in Doha for 3 months now, still feel like I just arrived yesterday.

Ive met some really interesting people along the way, have to say, Ive lived in other cities around the world, and Doha is definitely the strangest when it comes to meeting new people.

Most people have their "groups & cliques" and entering those groups is not easy.

We're all in the same boat, new country, new people, and for most of us, new cultural barriers.

I think its a good idea to start this thread and all the newbies (i still consider myself a newbie) should get together and see where it takes them.

I dont mind organising it if I know other people are interested?

Ok, this happens very rarely, that I try to say something in a serious tone but i guess Strom you have inspired me to say it out.

I have been a member on this awesome forum for 1 year and 30 weeks now. Have been on a read-only mode for a long time before i actually started posting stuff on QL.

I don't know how many people feel about me on QL, But honestly, all i try to do is bring the positive and brighter side of life. Mosts of my posts are stupid at times, but then again if it is about bringing a "smile" on someone's face, it is worth it.

My experience at QL, is amazing. But, if i had to point out anything which I did not enjoy that much was that the senior members have isolated themselves. May be i was one of the contributors in their decision.

So all the old members, if you think I am not worth staying on Ql, just say it, and honestly i wont look back!

Company and ql is 2 different thing...Ql in one way can be compared to fbook where no seniors or juniors show comparison..all are equal...if the old qlers have objection then they should approach the owner or mods of ql and mods should allot or put a batch between the seniors and juniors...i would say ql is more like a college than a company...None of the guidelines in ql tells to show distinction between the old and the new...every one to its own rights

alredoo just like any company there are senior employees the same applies to any online forum as well. Consider QL a company of Senior users who have been in Qatar a long time which is why they are on QL a long time..how would you feel if a new employee came along talking trash, making fun of older employees? I've been on other forums as well and this is the normal rule like it or not respect has to be given to senior members of a site that have contributed their time towards helping newer members.

What i have observed...the old (with due respect) qler prefer to dominate themselves without giving chance to the new or young qlers...They think they are more matured in their comments neglecting the young ones..A person being on reading mode is his or her personal decision..Ql is open and any one can be in active mode any time :)...That does not mean not to give the rights to others :)

I believe the decision or such thing about young and old need to be decided by the owner of ql or the mods and not by an existing qler(s).

i agree what TB and smoky said .... but mostly u guys generalize .... old qlers seems to talk only to the old ones ...usually will comment only to their old fellows

and even if there is something good going on within new qlers u guys will be in reading mode...

Tbunny, there are 2 types of Ql'er here..the ones that have been here a long time that have met other ql'er in person, and then there are those that are here to just troll around coz they have this need to seek attention and bring out their frustrations, mostly people who are not given any importance in real life, so Ql is the perfect place where they can hide behind their computer making silly jokes, insult others and speak their small mind.
