For someone who claims to be a Doctor you talk like a clown. When was the last time you went to a Club in the UK...all this talk about Skinheads and Hooligans, im guessing it was 30 years ago. If were gonna start stereo typing...brace yourself. You ignorant muppet.

Nitro DOESN'T exist yet. If you've read the thread you'd see that they've pushed it back.

However if you are asking where it 'will' be, I suggest sending a PM to the thread starter because nobody knows anything.

Where is this club? The name is as if the guyz behind it wanna give some nitro boost to the lullness of the place perhaps..Where is this club?

The global DJS thing was not too very worthy of a 100 bucks........Well Not very impressive....

And simultaneously there are claims of Qatars cultural integrity being preserved..... God knows....

I'm moving out to Doha in october, so if the club opens then it would be a great way to meet some people. I think it would be a top club if you can get some decent D.J's maybe give it an Ibiza feel.

I totaly agree with kellysheroes. What kind of club are they talking about in UK and USA, all I have seen are full of beer drinking skin heads hooligans. Please give us a break about this sleazy filtering. All nitro needs to filter out are binge drinker party animals hooligans.

Due to several complications, nitro won’t be happening. Well, not before Ramadan anyway.

It’s sad, but sometimes these things happen.

That’s all I would like to say.

Thank you for the interest & comments; we will try to resolve the complications in the coming weeks/months.

I will keep you updated.

Unless you allow single guys in, and encourage the girls from Qatar Airways to go, and stop the sleazy guys getting in this place is gonna be no better than all the other places.

If you can attract the same crowd as the Global DJs nights then you might make a go of it.

I know friends, who won't go to the Pearl A: Because its fully of sleazy blokes who think they are the Shiz and B: The doormen are Idiots.

Try and not make those mistakes.

Good luck on trying to keep a balance.

Nicely said! It's impossible to filter out 'sleazy arabs'. Why did you have to add 'arabs' in there anyway! It should say 'sleazy men'.

When I DJed in various clubs in London I saw all sorts.

You want to know the BEST CLUB i DJed in was? Shanghai, China.

The club beautiful and had three main areas, a bar, a dance floor and around the walls they had these tables called VIP tables (just cost around 1000QR to reserve and came with a free bottle of something you wanted. They'd also provide some cards and dice and people would play drinking games.

I loved it!

Best solution for ANY club is to make sure that only the 'good' people get in, KICK OUT any trouble makers, and have SPECIAL days once a week. For example, tuesdays are 'women only'. Wednesdays are '25 and over'. Etc...

I have tons of ideas. Let's see which club is going to get an experienced person on their hands ;)

I am very sorry to read and smell racism everywhere.

Guys why don't you find a scanning machine to detect those who are sleazy arabs so that you can filter the crowd inside.

I think whoever was talking about sleazy arabs is descending from the hooligans who are welcomed warmly everywhere in the world and red carpets are layed on their arrival and departure.

The club need to make business that means generate income. If they will count on you guys will end up bankrupt. You just walk in and order one beer and share it with 4. I wonder why do you lick the ass of "sleazy arabs" to invite you to such places and open bottles for you.

enjoy it guys. am not interested and will not be glad neither honored to exist in a place where such rotten minded people exist.

Why don't you try The Library at Ramada. It would fit you better.

Any attempt to widen the scope of things to do in Doha is welcome in my book, and the premise behind Nitro sounds good. The fact that you're still canvassing for opinions a month before you plan to open doesn't inspire me with confidence though!

I believe that anyone should be allowed into the club if they are above the minimum age, adhere to the dress code, aren't too drunk and can pay the entrance fee. Excluding people based on their race and/or sex is fundamentally wrong and would give the place a bad reputation.

However, once inside if people are behaving inappropriately - i.e. becoming sleazy, too drunk etc - then they should be ejected. A good club needs educated door staff AND educated staff inside.

I agree with the previous comment saying that if the right music is played and the right atmosphere established then the right crowd will be attracted - i.e. people who are looking for somewhere to enjoy good music with like minded people. This does of course assume that there are people like that in Doha.

The UK is a prime example of how two types of club culture can exist - ones for getting totally drunk and pulling, and ones for enjoying good music. Both have their place in society but it's best if they're kept separate! Whether the two types can exist separately in Doha remains to be seen.

On a personal note, if Nitro could be along the lines of FabricLive on Friday nights in London that would be awesome!

Is guys approaching peoples girlfriends whilst you are stood next to them and trying to chat them up.

I honestly think that if the music and atmosphere is right these sort of people won't go there. The sleazy ones are generally a bit older and a club that feels young and funky won't attract that sort of person. As I say in England there are clubs full of these types and then clubs full of a younger hipper crowd (of all nationalities). I expect that if the club is good then they won't go there but stick to the Qube.

My friends and I have never had any problems at any Global DJ nights, the crowd is younger and hipper. And global DJs always has a really varied mix of nationalities, which goes to show that you can have good nights here without the sleazyness.

As I say fingers crossed that this club will be the same, If they get it right it could be a real boon for this town I will certainly be looking forward to it.

Maybe the Qube failed to do this because of the music and also the fact that the Ramada had an existing reputation ?

Saying all this we don't know yet if this is all going to happen at a re-branded Qube, has the venue been established yet ?

Even if it is the Qube as I say I think the music and vibe of the new nights will (hopefully) attract a different crowd.

Retreat to shops, return to survey the carnage. This is why I enjoy internet forums.

I am glad you all agree with me, but I don't think it should be white only, we are rather in the minority here. They wouldn't make very much money and I didn't say that either.

I think the Music and the general feel of the clubs will keep the idiots and the more sleazy element away.

The Global DJ nights generally had a good mix of people, although on occasion a few too many teenagers.

The same happens in England there are Clubs where people goto pull and Clubs where people goto Dance and have a good time.

Hopefully we will now have that here, The Qube for all the sleazy guys and This new place for people who want to dance and have fun.

Fingers Crossed, of and Xena is right, why are clubs that have a couples only policy always full of men ?

Couples only is a pain you can't have a decent lads night out, all we want to do is go out have a laugh get drunk and come home. We don't prowl round the club pestering girls. I think we are past that now (actually were not).

We will try to keep the ratio the same.

However, this is Doha, you will always have more guys than girls.

We will try our best to keep it within a healthy balance.

We will be letting in single males, although, if you aren't up to the standard, in terms of dresscode etc, or you look like a sleazer then you will not get in. Simple.

The key is to have an educated doorman, not some guy that gets paid nothing and used to drive taxi's for a living.

Xena ...Gypsy is right..I ment enforcing the rule...

As I said above I m not much aware of the pub-scene here.

In india if we were to allow singles guys in we would have about 300 guys & 50 girls (where is the ratio)

When the stags were kept away (as much as possible) the business is less obviously but there is much less headache. Then the crowd used to be like 50-60 couples & 20-30 single girls. The total head count comming down to 150 approx.

Not to say there used to be major problems at the gate with some guys with connections wanting in.

If you let in single guys there is bound to be touch & feel.

We are looking to open on August 2nd.

Do you think this will be a good date, or are there to many people on holiday & should we hold it until the 16th?

What kind of music would you all like to hear?

Our policy at the moment is..

Thursday's will hold international DJs & live acts & fridays will be resident based playing up front house, hip hop, rnb & of course the classic anthems of the past...

While showcasing local DJ talent & different themed nights over time.

I can also confirm that Global DJs will host 1 or 2 nights at Nitro in August with a big name DJ line up or live acts on those dates.

We will be focusing hard on the door & crowd control.

This is a KEY issue.

We want a good guy to girl ratio & no sleazers.

I will miss the 16 year olds !!. Ha ha

Charmed is right if the music is of a certain variety then only decent people will go there. If Global DJs do do a regular Thursday/Fri then that will be excellent.

NO BANDS !!!

I think we may be disappointed though unless this is a new venue, after all I am still a bit gutted about the way the Qube turned out :(

who actually gets into the club ? why dont you make it exclusive so the dregs of society dont trash the imagine - see the thread on qube.

how about having a club where it was about dancing and having a good time rather than pulling or letching over women ? Base it on big names like Cream, MOS that kind of thing. So when we go there its going to be about the music and the vibes.

how about decent music im not talking about a naff band, or some idiot who thinks he can mix tracks badly I mean gatecrasher, cyberdog - not that chart nonesense. sigh got me thinking about clubs in london now

Dont rate the chances thou if turning in into something amazing - sorry i just dont think its geared up out here for that kind of thing out here
