I arrived a few days ago from London and i'm looking to get out of my apartment, meet new people and explore everything Doha has to offer!!

hi Becky, welcome to Doha. There are a couple of ladies groups which meet. The American wemons (dont know dates) group and Tuesday ladies group. First meeting for TLG of the 2012/2013 year is 11th sept at the Radisson blu (formally Ramada hotel) if you google TLG doha your find more info.

You may also find it useful to buy Time out Doha or HQ both have events and details of thing happening in Doha.

Ive just arrived in Doha for a 2 month stint, while my husband is attending meetings, I will provide support with report writing.

For the most part I will be a free bird / lady of leisure, looking to make new friends rather than become ostricised in my appartment... much as I like my own company I generally like the company of others.

Only interested in female or couple friends though - so as to avoid any nonsense!

Yes, here on QL we have an Ambassador for British members .. who goes with the name 'britexpat' ..
