Night life in Qatar???

Hi All,

I've been offered a job in Doha, and haven't made my mind up yet, whether to take the job or not.
The forums on here regarding socialising and night-life wouldn't do much to persuade me to take the role!!

Is it really that bad or, are there some good places to socialise and meet some new people (both male and female)

Thanks

this is much better than having many options and can't decide to go which one :)

better also you see at least 1-2 people you know in any place anytime.

or, well, I got used to and am in love with Pollyanna! :)

Stay here for a week and see yourself. Compare with the place you are coming from, that would give you a better insight. Anyway, nightlife ain't half good as Dubai, trust me..! And dont get directed to Ramada, you got lots of other places to get a taste of classy nightlife..:)

please don't direct him to the ramada parking lot.. competition is already "stiff" and prices will go up :O(

really? hve you been out on the roads at 11o'clock at night....

green_eyes... if you are into sitting in a pub having a few drinks with friends, there are plenty of these places around - provided you get yourself memberships to them all, except Ramada who will just scan your Passport or Qatari ID when you enter.

Don't expect to see many LADIES though.... "ladies" yes, but of the "friendly" variety:-P

Seems your priority is the social life and not the job. :)

Anyway, its not that bad actually. You can also go out and have night life. You can go disco, you can drink but there are limits ofcourse. Remember that Qatar is a Muslim country and not as open as UAE.

Thanks Lucy,

I was afraid that might be the answer...:)

What are the busiest nights out and the main places to go?
