No modefied cars at all in Qatar?!

So, i have never seen any -properly- modified cars here in Qatar, maybe one or two occasionally, but overall, they are a very rare thing to see (for me), all i see is either expensive cars or stock *looking* sporty cars OR cheaply modified and poorly looking cars.

I am working on my 07 Honda civic (lip kit-wheels-suspension) and love to see them nicely modified cars here in Qatar!!

Got a modified car? why not post a photo and share? ;]

your car here will definitely cost you an arm an a leg. and when you do finally modified it, on the stop light a Ferrari, Bently or a Lamborgini will stop beside you and take all the glory hahaha!. =)

You will generally only find modded cars at Losail...of which there are some seriously heavy duty mods, including a beautiful M3 and 911 GT3 that make regualar outings.

The problem will be getting parts, and finding one of the few mechanics who's got the experience and knowledge to do the job right.

QaQc...are you saying adding better brakes to my car would mean it fails inspection? or is it a question of who you know?

yeah ill modify my Bentley Arnage Drophead if i could afford it. D@mn body kit cost me about 40k

modify your car even it is original performance parts and you will fail at the inspection.

so if you want to modify your car, make sure you are willing to take a risk of spending a lot of time.

i know some expats here that modify their cars including suspension and swap engines. You guys can see them in QMMF sprints (autocross), track days and sometimes they have EB somewhere in Doha..

even if anyone has nice and modified car, we can't even run at high speed or beat the red lights :D radar are all over the area.

They won't catch you if you install a more radical cam with higher lobes. You will be faster, Stone Cold.

Too expensive to modify a car today and get caught by police tomorrow

QaQc, then you will surely know that "looks" (chrome and these things) are the arch enemies of performance. A chrome waterpump (surely 'looking' good, does everything it should not do: it gets hotter and hotter until the engine overheats). A pale looking high performance waterpump made of unpolished aluminium on the contrary, does the job perfectly. (Will cost about 8 times more, though).

you are correct MD it is very hard to find those kind of guys who can "modify" but i think your definition is a little bit higher of modification. Heartcore is looking for bolt-on and basic car modifications.

I wonder if he is interest in joining a real car racing?

To modify a car you need an expert who knows the difference between cast iron or Mahle 138 pistons. He needs to be able to operate the SUN honing computer and should definitively know what happens to the engine behavior if the ignition timing is altered to 10 degrees before TDC. I doubt that you will find these guys here. All you can get here are "cosmetics". They don't really 'modify' a car.

Just curious my friend. What you gonna do after modification of your car?

Car show or racing?

If it is for racing, i think you're wasting your money to your car as it is automatic.

If it is for car show... well your car is good

I understand what you are saying,But some people like to make their car nice and unique, it's just a hobby like any other one, well its costly but still..

I used to see a lot more nicely modified cars back when i lived in Kuwait, absolutely different here..

There's nothing wrong with my car as Nissan designed it. I'm here to make money not to waste it on titivating a vehicle, and getting zero in return for it.

I'm sure there are many in the same boat which is why you don't see them here.

Did you Google it first?
