Darude and Jilfer, I guess you are both new generation kids. Trust me a couple years back guys would sweat on the mention of her name and their eyes would pop out of their sockets. (A bit exaggeration won't hurt I guess).

I was keeping an eye to see if any guy say 'Basic Instinct' but NO. Amazingly all the guys I know would blindly vote for 'Sharon Stone' and her 'leg' scene.

Chelsea, which Korean telenoveas do you like? I fell in love with "Winter Sonata" when I watched it. It's not deep nor an original storyline but I loved the themes and romance. The end of the final episode (where the two lovers who never married because of their mothers) reminded me of the first meeting between the blind Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre in Charolette Bronte's Jane Eyre.

My favourite movies?

** Wall Street (Charlie Sheen, Micheal Douglas)

** The Sting

** Liar Liar (Jim Kerry) -- any Jim Kerry movie (actually!)

** Pasion of Christ (Mel Gibson)

I try and make it home 3-4 times a year..but that's really hard to do time and money wise..

I LOVE that movie, too!! Homeward Bound, so awesome, and I cry when the Golden comes over the hill, too :D Makes me miss my dogs back home...

I think someone is planning a movie night for Sunday at Royal Plaza... will be interesting which movie is picked.

I really want to see Partition, some friends of mine saw it last week, so thinking if it's still playing will go to see it next Tuesday at CC.

never been called that before...but I can be irritating!!

My sons really enjoyed it here..at least the eldest did..the poor youngest had the flu the entire time...slept home for 4 days...Dragged the eldest out one night to Palomas and he had a fun time watching everyone...especially Corne... ;)

By Scarlett• 10 Jan 2008 19:06
Scarlett

my son does that...worst case scenerio...Homeward Bound...the movie about 2 dogs and a cat that find their way home...LOVE that movie...BUT...every single time I watch it, which used to be a lot since I had it on DVD..my son would sit and stare at me during the last 4 minutes because he KNEW I was going to cry each time that golden retriever came over the hill limping...then he'd giggle and laugh and say watching the whole movie was worth that...Remind me to disown him...

Spirit2006

Scarlett you remind me of a friend that I go to the movies with... she gets so wound up that it's pure entertainment just watching her :D

Saw 'The Brave One' this week, not bad, like Jodie Foster

Loved Blood Diamond, Casino Royale

Thought 'Beowulf' was a crock

Scary movies are NOT for me, but I do love good action, and good comedy.

By Scarlett• 10 Jan 2008 18:59
Scarlett

I made the mistake of going to see Diary of a Vampire, at a matinee showing..was the ONLY person in the theater..and was wearing my glasses, not contacts, so kept seeing these reflections off the lenses, from behind me..spent the entire movie jumping and looking behind my chair..lol

Will let you know when I go see scary movies...but you better be ready to have your arm grabbed, nails embedded in your skin..at least I don't shreek when something scary happens...unless the person next to me does..then I'm more scared of THEM than the movie!

chupa, you are right..everyone needs stupidity (within reason) and silliness in their lives...otherwise we'd all be totally boring...but i can understand Qatarisun's dislike of the truly stupid ones...movies that is...

Absolutely “BITTER MOON” by Roman Polanski.

My type movie: wild, crazy deep, on the edge of insanity…
