Today is the Qatar bidding...we are all waiting for positive result. We heard so many news , heresays from the goverment that if Qatar wins there is a "change" happen. An open opportunities for all of us and no visa restriction at all means " No need for NOC ". How we can assure that this things will happen or until when we are going to wait to implement this..or How they sure that all companies follow this rules. I wish they post it the newspaper literally saying " No need for NOC".
Praying Qatar to win!

Qatar is seriously considering doing away with its controversial sponsorship system, its prime minister said on Thursday.

"The government is now seriously looking into the sponsorship system, and in light of the latest developments, the issue requires some legal and other measures," Shaikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani told reporters in Doha. "The government is studying very carefully the issue to ensure that the rights of Qatari citizens, employees and those who come to work in Qatar are all preserved. There is a crucial need to ensure there is balance between all rights," he said.

Speaking at the launch of the new headquarters of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), Shaikh Hamad said that several important changes have occurred in the sponsorship system in the last two years.” They are part of the procedures to scrap the system, but the whole process takes some time and cannot happen overnight.”

In that case, i would move out of QATAR then....

I'd seen the worst situation of rent hikes, salary remains stagnant and other reasons in past..So i don't think i would be able to survive with no salary hikes..

There is no relations between FIFA 2022 and Immigration or Labour Law of the country. There may be some possibilities of relaxation in strict laws like drinking, dress codes, beaches etc.

I think the key word there is HERESAY. Which means, don't count on it. The only thing guaranteed to happen if Qatar gets the World Cup is that rents will sky rocket and salaries will stay the same.
