Rock Climbing / Climbing wall

Hi All,

My first post on here as im going to be moving to doha in April. Have been there on business quite a bit but have not had chance to check out the leisure activities available there yet.

Does anyone know if there is a good artificial climbing wall available anywhere in Doha? I cant imagine that there is any decent outdoor climbing available!

Also, how long does it take to get a beer license, and where do i do this!?? I'll find somewhere to live after i do this. Priorities you understand...

If anyone could help me out it would be appreciated! Cheers

I don't know how you get permission to use it - but there appears to be quite a nice climbing wall as part of the outdoor recreation park at Aspire - behind Villagio and Hyatt - it also has walking paths, biking/rollerblading, horseback riding paths, grass areas for play, playgrounds, restrooms, etc. Awesome facility - free for all - however, the climbing wall is fenced in for safety reason, so again, one would need to inquire as to how to get access.

Hello to all the climbers. I phones Aspire and they said there is a climbing wall. Does anyone know more about it?

hahaha awesome job! Aww shame about the climbing cause its one of the things i love doing here in Malaysia. Dont like the sound of climbing that mini grand canyon made of sand, it'd be likely to bloody collapse if we tried...

Ok, second option would be to build / open one!

was some kind of rock climbing or wall climbing out here, me and the hubby would love to do it! Sadly there is nothing like that out here! there are not quite sure what to call them ......um huge i guess rocks? made out of sand kind of like a mini mini mini mini grand canyon ( please correct me if im worng) which i think could be climbed if you had the proper equipment thou!

beer licence you have to get a letter from your employer after you get the rp i think! and then take it to the booze shop and they issue the licence there - thats the only place to buy booze!

love life!
