Hey 220v thanks for understanding mate, please note that i am NOT the organizer of this event, the Dj's and organizers are friends of mine that told me to post this on their behalf.

220v is right there was issues about having the party there and since this was open for all and FREE, yes there was issues with the authorities. Also there were too many people who confirmed so could be someone got wind of it and complained to the authorities.

Anyways sorry about this but for sure next time we'll see that everything is 100% in order. Happy New year everyone :)

yesterday me n my mates went private party @ sealine..

abt 50 people only.. the cops just petrol-ed around and stopped the show.. even though the main organizer was a Qatari.. nothing worked out... all they ask is permit.

smoke..its better that u r not stopped in the middle of the show.. at-least u won't be going through all that trouble i've seen yesterday..

Alright just to remind everyone, we'll be checking you for any illegal substance you might think you can smuggle in, so please lets come to have fun and not get you and us in any kind of trouble.

Also we reserve the right to deny you entry or remove you from the venue if we feel you are a trouble maker or trying to cause any trouble with the ladies.

There is no dress code but its going to be pretty cold so carry something warm. We might be having a bonfire as well to keep you warm.

If you have sheesha bring it, and get everything else along with it that you might need.

Give me a call when you reach FFC if you need a ride latest by 9.00pm and after that when you reach the 2nd signboard. WE'll arrange for someone to pick you up or to guide you to the tent.

Shukran Ukeng, good points to keep in mind. However i've been there last night and yeah the roads at first are pretty heavy with road works and diversions but after that its smooth sailing all the way to the venue. Rash drivers are one thing to beware of coz there's another party happening at Sealine beach resort so there's going to be a lot of traffic along with the folks that are just heading there for dune bashing or whatever..its the weekend so please be careful.

A slight correction, please note its QCHEM and not QAPCO SIGNBOARD. Damn that google earth and damn me for not looking while i was zooming past it :P

A word of Advice for Road Safety for all ye Faithful travelling to this Event tomorrow night.

1. Please drive carefully at night especially through the Roads Works in the Mesaieed Area and the Unlit Sealine Beach Road after you go over the Bridges.

2. Do not drink and Drive. It is illegal to carry any alcohol in your car and if you are caught in possesion you may be prosecuted.

3. Drive responsibliy and watch out for errant and un-patient drivers driving like mad max and over taking unnecessary on the Sealine Beach Road. This year and ever year there have been many fatal accidents resulting from overtaking and head on collisions.

4. It will be cold so do take something warm to see the New Year in and see in the first rays of the New year sunshine.

Well this is all I can think of. The Contractors will make sure that that the Traffic diversions in Mesaieed are well signed and lit. Please do take care and follow the signs.

Anyway all you people travelling to Sealine beach. I hope you have a lovely, safey and enjoyable time at this party. Hope you see in the New year SAFELY..

Update is that there's going to be a really big beam of light pointed up into the sky that you'll be able to see from miles away showing the location of the tent. All you have to do is get to the light

Just saw another event happening on the same night at the Sealine Resort..bollywood night lol...Qr.150 a ticket prebooked and Qr.250 at the gate...I have a feeling we are going to have a lot of crowd coming in may be before or after their party. In any case WE dont have any dress code and WE dont want your money either before or at the gates lol.

I just went through all the comments and realized how BORED some people really are with their lives and for whatever reason they leave their negative comments here it really isnt going to make much of a difference to me or the people organizing this event or those that want to come and have fun to bring in the new year.

Sadly such people with these negative mentalities will never be satisfied with what they have nor can they do anything about it to change.

So yeah go ahead and say whatever you like no one cares, end of the day we'll be there having fun :)

Secondly when you see posters of other events they have obligations to mention who are the organizers coz they have sponsors, and sponsors want to be associated with known organizers...do you see any sponsors on this poster?

My interest is that I'm a QL member informing other QL members about a party thats happening, last time i checked this was not a "classified" advertisement, last time i checked i posted this in the "socialising" section that says "For discussion on restaurants, events, clubs and other social activities"

Now you tell me what is it to you to know who is behind the event? When there are other shows happening else where do you go around asking who is the organizer?

Sajmarhab: Just after you pass the QAPCO board you need to go about 1 KM straight until you see a sign board with a map or something to ur right...from there just give us a call and we'll send someone out there to get you. Its about 2 mins off the main road. Sure you can get your kids along but make sure you keep an eye on them :P

TB thats true and we take no responsibility if anyone gets caught with booze OUTSIDE the tent and as long as no booze is being sold inside the tent everything is kool! Plus we will be having strict security checking at the gates for anyone trying to smuggle alcohol inside.

I will bet CID will be keeping a close eye on the perimeter of this one. I would be careful of deviating from the law with booz, drugs, illicit relations etc. in the sand dunes. Just go and have a lovely law abiding time ya all.

Jackyboy look at the map its about a KM away after the QAPCO signboard. No drinks will be allowed inside the tent (thats the rule in Qatar nothing we can do about it) however you are free to get your own and drink at your own risk outside or in your cars. Again i repeat AT YOUR OWN RISK. :P
