Sorry for not being more on top of this thread. I had a buddy that was prepared to take me out playing but we both got busy of late. Anyway, I now have a squash racquet, new court shoes. I also found out that there are courts at Garvey's, but I don't know the condition, cost, or times.

So please take this in the most charitable light, but are we going to fish or cut bait? (And I hold myself responsible for my own delay in staying involved in this issue).

My e-mail is daryle[AT]cips.ca

i did get your email, thanks though! anyway i'm a member at sheraton but i also have to pay for the court and i have to pay to invite you there too to the hotel plus i have to pay your charge. That will be alot already for one section :}

Why dont you try to make some squash class at Sheraton? they dont have it yet though, only tennis class!

I know that many hotels (The Ritz-C, Sheraton(?) and others) have health clubs with squash courts. There's also the Tennis & Squash club. I understand that johnjo's instruction rate would be 30QR/hr. My next two questions have to do with location and time:

1. Where/when would we have the lessons? (I like the Friday late morning/early afternoon idea by stharakan) I'm assuming a group lesson would be preferred. Where would it be and where is the best price/option for court fees? I am not interested in a full health club membership since I have a fitness centre at my villa.

2. Where is the best location(s) to play on a regular basis in terms of price, convenience, hours of operation? If we can have a critical mass of people who prefer one venue, then we have more opportunity to play against others of different styles/abilities and improve our games.

Johnjo,

I'd really like to play against you (even if my chance to win is very weak) so that you can teach the way to play at a higher level. I have a medium-good level, but I'll be able to improve it only playing against players like you.

Anyway, do you play in John Lord Duffer's League ?

Cheers

Olivier

I have never played squash in my life. I'm a pure beginner. But My question was, to what level could your training raise me.

I am unfortunately not a member in any club, but I think there are courts we could rent and play in.

Please contact me via email with all the details.

My address is [email protected]

Cheers!

To what level can you train an individual?

Do you have a location where we can play?

What will be the fee on a monthly basis, for 3 lessons of 1 hour each.

I will prefer after 7 pm.

Cheers!

I played Raquetball regularly in Canada before moving to Doha 6 weeks ago. I'm not national calibre but I'd be interested in making the transition to squash and in meeting potential Squash partners (male or female; I'm male) of a wide range in abilities to get me some exercise, improve my skills, and meet some more people.
