QNB & QCB are govt. banks, thay are not made for expats. they have their own rule & regulations regardless of what QCB implement on them.

The only GREAT thing I like about QNB is their Queue System while dealing with the Teller. They never allow "ANYBODY" to break the line :P

I bank with Qatar Int'l Islamic Bank both in Saving and Current accouts and I found them good. Though my saving account is always 0. :(

I heard good review about Commercial Bank Qatar.

Avoid QNB :)

You wanted to know from other QLers which bank gives best returns on a saving account? You have a Salary account with QNB.

I bank with HSBC and a current account only in Qatar. As I have a saving account offshore!

Some will say HSBC is good, other will say it's shyte. The same will go for EVERY bank in Qatar. You need to make your own decisions based on:

a) what you will use the account for

b) how you will use the account

c) locality of the branches

d) opening times of a branch close to you

etc

anyway - if its so interesting - 1.5 year in Qatar i worked just on business visa: got project - finished project - vocation....got project - finished project - vocation....i didnt need bank account in Doha at all.all my money i transferred on my native country deposit bank. Now my situation is different. im gonna settle down in Doha for next 5(?) years.
