Who is the person you've fallen in love with?

In a certain way, it seems you have to fall in love with someone you've never met.Falling in love doesn't have to be an experiment that if it doesn't work, you try an alternative - falling in love can be a wonderful process of finding, getting to know and bonding with the right person.
Have you ever fallen in love with someone you have never met? Probably a movie star or your online date or anyone else?

Amedeo - U r right. I've been there as well. I've been stupid in some of my relationships but im glad now that i finally did something right and im happy..:)

I was stupid before for picking the wrong ones to love but the good thing is I laugh at myself now whenever i think about it. It's an experience and i learned lessons from it.

Sure there may be a few very good actresses out there.

But you know our values are the core of character. They mould our responses. Especially those quick, unconscious responses.

For instance when asked the question: Would you rather go for a romantic walk on the beach or go shopping?

It's simplistic but I think you get the point. The reality is far more subtle. Of course most girls like to shop, but all the time??

Don't discount your gut feeling about someone. Invariably I have only been burned when I have denied my own intuition. Mostly because of other factors, like she is gorgeous ha ha.

But I am also sensible in having a budget to spend so I only get burned slightly. And like I said. It is always a pleasure to spend time in the company of a beautiful woman. There is something to learn from everyone.

But hey! I’m no love expert or psychologist. If I was such an expert would I have been divorced?

I’m  just a normal guy trying to sail his way through the fog of romance with intuition as my rudder and experience as my compass.

Amedeo - Gold diggers are easy to find,be very keen on the way they act and talk. U will know..:)

There's a great quote:

"If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. Chances are its a duck!"

Like u,i didnt regret meeting people in my life. Those who left me made me realize what i really want and what really makes me happy.. As what they say: "People come & go,some to stay, some to teach u a lesson and leave.."

I have learned so much from my mistakes & im cool about it.

I dunno but everytime i see myself in the mirror,I say: "oh oh here we go again, damn,I love you sexy beast!" :)

I have never fell in love with someone i never met. What i felt for the stars is simply admiration..

after posting the above i recieved a number of PMs about the dangers of internet dating.

Let me tell you first of all. I am a grown up. i appreciate your concern and I thank you for the love you have shown me.

Yes I have met with gold diggers. You know they are not that hard to spot. It's a matter of core values.

But it is the same meeting someone in a bar, two people talking together, what is the difference? You need to be discerning in all things.

But also spending time in the company of a beautiful woman is always a pleasure, regardless of the outcome. As long as you are respectful of each other.

I have not regretted any meeting despite not yet having found the "one". At each meeting I have learned something new about other people and about myself.

But like i always say "Stay safe" and that includes your heart and your wallet. Walk into the world with you both you heart and your eyes open.

Given the number of single men to single women in Qatar, I would say expanding your horizons through social media is the only way.

As it happens I met my ex-wife through the internet 11 years ago and I expect I will meet my future wife that way too. It beats the randomness of meeting at a bar or club and skype certainly makes it easier to get to know a person before you meet too. especially if there is some expense and travel involved.

Certainly the majority of girls I have dated in between, I met first on the WW Web. I have got to visit countries I wouldn't have thought of before as well as learning a whole new language. As well as that i have spent many wonderful hours in the company of beautiful women going through that wonderful dance of assesing each other. One day I hope to find a match. Maybe the next time, Who knows? Meanwhile the experience is enriching.

Only this weekend I met a very nice girl, from this site, who will be a good friend I know. Despite the fact she killed my kayak. ;)

Falling in love with someone you've never met - well, it's possible, I guess. If you know what you're looking for and haven't settled for less yet, you might come across someone who seems to be a good fit and you will know you've met your soul mate. My problem is all my few tentative good fits were/are forbidden in one way or another... at least, so far.

tinkerbell10 who said, "Its possible to fall in love with a person you have never met face to face but with whom you do keep in touch thru emails and letters and phone calls"

This is true but one could be falling in love with an illusion, esp if the other person has been carrying on a charade all the while... as is normal for Qatar with the MBAs (Married But Available) there! :P

Falling in love is a magical experience that happens between two people.kindness and intelligence, are extremely important in the process of falling in love. And attractiveness is too connected to these things. You can fall in love with a person who you meet in person, over the phone or could be your online date.

Falling in love is amazing...

why would I fall in love with someone who I have never met? I want to be loved in return.. when i will be 100 years old, may be I will start falling in love with some who I have no hope for.. but as for now, those who are around don't leave me a chance to fall in love with someone who i have never met...

No when i said that voice i also meant the way she spoke. the politeness in her words and its not juz the voice its the way she spoke for which i fell. And listen i said i fell in love with her voice not that person but still she's a very good friend of mine but the love i have for her is not romantic love.Any ways its up to you guys to decide, Cheers.

To "fall in love" with somebody you have never met is called infatuation.

By procrastnator• 21 Apr 2011 21:29

yup i have a strange experience in muh life. Well it was real co-incidence that i talked to a girl on phone and i had no clue who she was. But she sounded so polite and her voice was soo stunning, my heart skipped a beat as i listened her voice. I couldn sleep properly that night and the first thing i did was to call her in the morning and say her, Hey, you know what, your voice is a flower of beauty,it really is. From that day until now whenever deeply disturbed i call her and listen to her. its really soothing and comforting. So i believe its the feature in a person that drives you closer to each other, the only thing we have to do is,to find out how this person is different from others, which is his outstanding quality, and that sigle clue will help you to forget all the imperfection in that person.Yes i fell in love with that voice from the begining till now. Now i wonder can a guy fall in love with someone by juz listening the way she spoke, yes.once I did.

Tinky I agree with u

Blind people fall in love too. It is the voice, the tone, the affection, the rhythm, the accent, the words, the language etc., can be enough to fall in love. If you spend so much time with a person, either on the phone, texting, chatting, etc...then feelings are bound to arise between each other. You share so much information about yourselves and spend so much time talking that you can't help but have love for this person...right?

I have enjoyed what you have been posting.

I am not sure if I have fallen in love with you (and I know I did not see you), but I have fallen in "like" with you :):)

Will this "like" become "love".

I guess only time will tell, unless you are adventurous.
