Will good triumph over evil in the end?

When considering humanity, does good truly triumph over evil?

Please feel free to apply this question to any part of humanity that you think can answer this question.

This whole part ((This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allah's Law)) Doesn't exist anywhere in the koran ! LOOOL! OMG! I think I should listen to Miss mimi! I fukin rest my case!

FathimaH: Good on your hubby, Mash allah. As for me my belief is the Stoning for adultery scansions are illegal and unislamic and call for their banishment

In recent years all those who were stoned did not receive a fair trial from what I know, hence their sentence itself was wrong. There are certain hadiths that speak of stoning but in all of them those who did it confessed their sins, and despite the Prophet trying to convince them to go back and make repentance they insisted they be punished. Why? Because they truly feared God's punishment on them.

In today's world no one does that. And even if they try to then as Muslims we can talk them out of it and tell them instead to repent and stay away. Mind you my hubby faced this situ with a friend many years back who actually wanted to go all the way to Saudi and asked to be stoned! DH adviced him not to and today he is a good man, and God knows best.

The best advice to Muslims is don't fear the stone, fear God. Stay away from adultery.. Period!

Sis Fatimah: my side of the argument is that there isn’t a single verse in the Koran that commands or instructs the Muslims to stone anybody for committing adultery.

Most or maybe all of you who think and defend stoning as a way of justice never saw a stoning execution being carried out.

I saw it and it is disgusting and shocking

By FathimaH• 28 May 2012 13:40
FathimaH

This topic is a much debated and controversial topic even among scholars. So many contradicting evidences here and there. It is safe to say however that in actuality the whole punishment of stoning to death is near impossible as it ether requires the witness of four reliable people, and all four must have to actually see the intercourse itself and not just flirting, kissing, etc,(like who in their right mind will cheat on their wife for four pious people to see?) and/or the guilty parties must confess to their acts, not under duress, more than twice and ask for the penalty.

So people then ask why was this law introduced in the first place if it really can't be applied unlike the death penalties for say murder, armed robberies and rapes? Well the reason is simply so that the Muslims themselves realize how seriously big this sin is and stay away from them.

In truth adultery is among the most major of sins in Islam, so even if it is hard to prove, you need to realize how scary it is to even to go close to it. For Allah warns us: "Do not go near fornication and adultery, it is an abomination and an evil way." (Quran 17:32).

But that said even among spouses, if one of them commit adultery and truly repent, then it is upto the spouse to either divorce them or stay married to them. BUT you cannot kill them. That would be murder of the first degree.

Yes, stoning is commanded by God for sinners of adultery to cleanse the society, eradicate such immoral crime from the society and for gomorrahs to follow the right path.

I don't think the Iraqis were fighting in the name of religion, however the Taliban were for there version of Islam. The Taliban actually went on the offensive and kill all the other warlords to take over the country in the name of Islam so are they not religious?

As for stoning people to death, I guess as a pure religious man like yourself you consider killing someone in the name of God just.

Many religious leaders including major prophets have waged wars and killed people. Killing of others is banned in nearly all major religions, so you tell me. Being stone to death for adultery is a must according to some verses so the correctly religious should kill but that leads to contridictions.

Well you said that atheists have no fear of God so will do evil things, these preists and imans who have abused young boys are well versed in their religious teachings yet still choose to commit homosexual rape. I guess religious people are the worst of all according to your logic.

Really? Guessed you missed the catholic church priests abusing young boys or the practise in afghanistan of sodomising young boys, good muslims them.

If you look at the evil things in the world such as slavery it was not the christians or the muslims that abolished it, (in fact in both holy books they talk about owning slaves as a matter of fact) it was humans that progressed and decided to abolish slavery as an evil.

Atheism is not a disease or even a belief system so I do not know how that would turn you gay. As I have said before an athesist does not believe in any of the Gods man has made but its not a faith or an alternative belief. Its the same as saying not going skiing is a hobby. If that is true I practise my hobby all the time.

Being attracted to the same sex is something that happens in much of the animal kingdom but I don't know many frogs or dogs or monkeys claim that athesim made them do it....

Would you say that an earthquake is "evil"? Probably not, because the earthquake is not doing anything it shouldn't do. Evil can ONLY be done by humans! If we get rid of the evil humans, evil won't exist anymore. But, the question remains: who decides what evil is? If you look at the existing philosophies and religions then each of them has a different definition.

Here I questioned someone towards the unwanted use of ' f ' word on a public forum where 'few' respectable ladies also participate.

He also never looked behind & ran off without any answer just like 1st one I told you !

So, Prism my brother, I consider this a little bigger than 1st evil, is defeated.

Prism, forgive me if I wasted your time.

But this is like we need to be watchful to notice evil being put down by good almost every moment even though in very small minute forms by individuals in their limited independent personal capacity with the grace of 'Almighty'. It matters to those who are highly sensitive , kind natured , humble simple people.

But the battle goes on ....

You will have to agree with me after reading my this post. You should be very calm & composed to analysis those two posts and have clear , soft mind to see the big picture. Be fare my brother to give me feed back.

On 20.05.2012, I single handedly DEFEATED 2 EVILs between 0920 PM & 1002 PM.

In this I questioned one childish fellow, when he said 'lols' while discussing a deadly accident.

He never bothered to look back & attack me, which he fondly does even when I never have any ill will against him.

Prism : Consider this as a defeat of evil in a very very minor form for a beginners like both of us.

Molten Metal said who knows ...

It is like that same old case of a slow moving small car coming suddenly in front of paced up traffic & it may have happened to be an unlucky LC in line the of fire.

It is any body's guess, until an expert establishes & declares the root cause.

Is it a time to say 'lols' ???

This makes me think of a quote from Alexander Solzhenitsyn:

_____________________________________________________________

"Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either, but right through every human heart, and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. Even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained; and even in the best of all hearts, there remains a small corner of evil."

_____________________________________________________________

So I would say as long as humans exist neither can triumph.
