Go Qatar! National team faces off against Uzbekistan tonight
Qatar will tonight host Uzbekistan at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium for the 2018 World Cup Asian zone qualification.
Qatar is looking to bounce back from their injury time 2-0 defeat at the hands of Iran in the last match.
This is the second round match in Group A of the third qualification stage.
Daniel Carreno has urged his team to put the injury time loss against Iran out of their minds.
"The situation after the first round of matches will put us under a lot of pressure to win as we lost against Iran and Uzbekistan defeated Syria," Carreno said.
He was confident that our players will give their best and get the three points from the match.
Lots of fans were seen heading to the stadium before kick-off, and the social media campaign supporting the team went viral.

"We played with a lot of determination in the first match against Iran and we will be playing with the same mentality against Uzbekistan."
"We will forget the first match now and we will focus on giving our best, especially because we will be playing at home and in front of our fans."
Uzbekistan’s late win over Syria was their first ever victory in the opening round of matches in FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Goals deep into injury time at a packed-out Azadi Stadium in Tehran from Reza Ghoochannijhad and Alireza Jahanbaksh condemned Qatar to a late, late 2-0 defeat against Iran as Daniel Carreno’s side seek to secure the country’s first-ever FIFA World Cup finals appearance.
As for Uzbekistan, Veteran striker Aleksandr Geynrikh came off the bench to claim the only goal of the game with just 16 minutes remaining to ensure Uzbekistan picked up all three points against a spirited Syria side
It is better to have played and lost , then never to have played at all.. Keep on trying boys ...
Maybe they can buy their place.
Not a good result last night, Two straight losses means that Qatar will be not be heading to the FIFA World cup 2018 in Russia unless they can dramatically win the remaining games in a tough group!
They have our full support ... Joys
