Liverpool arrive in Doha for FIFA Club World Cup
Liverpool FC landed in Doha last night ahead of their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, presented by Alibaba Cloud.
The Reds, who secured qualification by winning the UEFA Champions League, will face Monterrey on Wednesday, December 18, 20:30, at Khalifa International Stadium.
The FIFA Club World Cup is one of the few trophies not in the Anfield cabinet and the team will be well supported in their efforts to change this.
A large contingent of Liverpool fans have traveled to Doha and the club enjoys a significant fanbase among Qataris and expatriates in the country.

"This competition gives the squad the opportunity to achieve something new, the chance to win Liverpool’s first ever Club World Cup. It’s been a busy but incredible year and of course we will give everything to wrap-up 2019 with this title," said Liverpool FC Manager Jürgen Klopp.
"We followed the matches yesterday and are looking forward to playing Monterrey on Wednesday with the support of all the Liverpool fans that are traveling to Doha or living in Qatar," the Liverpool FC Manager added.
If Liverpool wins the game on Wednesday, they will play either CONMEBOL Libertadores winners CR Flamengo or Al Hilal FC in the final.
Tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup are currently available via FIFA.com/tickets, including to Liverpool’s debut in the competition on December 18.
