Qatari runner Musaeb Balla arrested in Spanish doping probe, says reports
Spanish police said they have arrested a Qatari athlete as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking that has already seen one of the world's top coaches taken into custody.
Media reported that the man arrested was Qatari Musaeb Abdulrahman Balla, the two-time defending Asian 800m champion who finished sixth at last year's world championships in Beijing and fifth at the world indoors in Portland earlier this season.
"A Qatari athlete was arrested," Catalonian police said, without naming him.
The arrest is the third after police took Somali track coach Jama Aden, whose Ethiopian protege Genzebe Dibaba is the current world 1,500M champion, and a physiotherapist into custody on Monday, both charged with having administered athletes with banned substances.
Aden was picked up in a dawn raid at a hotel in the Catalonian town of Sabadell occupied by a group of athletes coached by the ex-Olympian.

We are living on one earth in one water so it does not matter ............ we are not different than our neighbour ..............
I think he's from Sudan originaly
I think for sure, this Qatari athlete is an immigrant.
Qatari's don't have a sporting culture. Kids don't grow up dreaming of represent their country in sports like they do in some other countries. They might want to be successful in business or government, but not sports.
If he is a Qatari he will be bailed out. Otherwise he we lose his Qatari passport.
Muad, So true, We really need a big change, what we need at this moment is a Responsible Media ............ !
