Qatar promises unique experience for Formula 1 after MotoGP success
Qatar's hosting of round 20 of the Formula One World Championship has piqued curiosity, particularly among fans of the sport, as Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali welcomed Qatar's entry into the calendar this season and in the long run, commencing in 2023.
He explained that Qatar demonstrated great sincerity and excitement, demonstrating its potential to put on a fantastic event, especially given its history of hosting numerous world championships, whether in cars or motorcycles, over the years.
Qatar's hosting of round 20 will allow maintaining a calendar of 22 races, as 18 races have been held so far, while today in Brazil the19th race of the season, which witnesses a fiery competition between the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) world champion, and the Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) leads the drivers' standings, ten points ahead of the first.
The iconic Losail Circuit Club now prepares the famous 5,380-kilometre circuit to welcome the most prominent stars of the Formula 1 race, including the seven-time world champion and the Dutchman.
Moreover, the club has announced that thousands of fans can look forward to a series of entertaining activities during the event.
During the three-day event, three sections were set up for spectators around the various stands, with entertainment activities including live music performances, artists, and various fun games.
A virtual Formula 1 track and different racing simulations are now available for fans to explore as part of the augmented reality experience.
During the event, fans and visitors to the Losail International Circuit can expect a wide range of cuisines to suit all tastes, as well as a Formula 1 store to purchase tickets. Visitors can also view fabulous air performances during the afternoon.
Fans who want to enjoy a unique atmosphere at the Losail Circuit should arrive well in advance of the race's start time on all three days to avoid unnecessary entry congestion, as tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend throughout the three days.
Special services for the public will be available during the race days, including free shuttle buses between Lusail Metro Station and Lusail International Circuit, as well as taxi services on all racing days at Lusail International Circuit.
Fans with tickets must be properly immunized and the period for receiving the second dosage must not be shorter than 14 days, according to Ministry of Public Health guidelines, which will be strictly enforced throughout race days at the Losail International Circuit.
Inside Qatar, all fans will be required to show the gold frame and green code on the EHTERAZ app on their mobile phones, while fans from outside the country will be required to show their official certificate regarding the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine before entering the Losail International Circuit.
