Registration now open for Qatar East-to-West Ultra Run 2021
The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA), which is part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, officially announced that the Qatar East-to-West Ultra Run will be held on December 10 this year.
Registration for the marathon is currently open with organizers hoping to inspire members of the public to participate in sports and make them a part of their daily lives.
This year's 16-hour marathon, which is accessible to both professional and amateur runners, is projected to attract over 500 contestants.
Participants must be in good health and meet certain fitness criteria as the 90 km race will test the endurance of the runners.

The Chairman of the Organising Committee, Abdullah Al Dosari, indicated that registration for the marathon will be available through the Qatar Sports for All Federation app.
Everyone will be able to participate by registering as a team of no more than six participants or as an individual.
Abdullah Al Dosari further stated that the marathon will begin in the Sheraton Park and end at Dukhan Beach, with five rest spots along the way where runners will be offered food and drink.
In addition, under the supervision of specialized medics, ambulances and police vehicles will be available to aid the contestants.
The race will begin at 4:30 am and run until 8:30 pm, with awards awarded to the first three finishers. Al Dosari noted that the last edition had a large participation, with 425 competitors representing 44 different countries.
Ultimately, every participant is awarded a medal since the main purpose of the race is to encourage the community to exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle.
