Hi everyone! Could anybody enlighten me on the possible impacts the present employer would face if he provides me an NOC?
As per their communication, they say that if they provide me an NOC, then, they would lose a visa on their Company's name and they could not replace me. Is it true?

As you said, yes, obviously the NOC letter should be attached to the new Visa application.
Rosh, Need to make sure that some of your friends obtain NOC letter after you leave or you yourself obtaining a NOC letter before leaves from the company.
This letter will serve the purpose that the company has no objection in you are joining to a new company under new Visa.
(As long as your company agree for this method, the PRO will do the paper work) It's not a big deal. many of our labor and small employees are doing this without a haste.
They have ensured me that visa will be cancelled this week probably after the Eid holidays after which i can travel to my country. I shall probably follow what you said.
Make your visa cancelled and go back to your country.
And come back on a new visa from a different company.
You can request NOC at this time, as your company will not lose a visa.

They still haven't issued me back my passport, Contract copy, made me sign on blank papers saying that it is Qatar rule and now I am totally stuck. Even the Labour court was of no help to me.
The moment Qatar Id card (Resident Permit) is issued, the company looses the visa. Issuing of شهادة عدم ممانعة (NOC) or نقل کفالا (transfer letter) is irrelevant.
Rosh, I think it is right. The current sponsor would lose one visa. however, is it not nice that they honestly tell you " they cannot replace you". For that, ask them for the benefits that you are looking for in terms of salary increase, accommodation or extended leave.

The new company can't apply for new visa until unless they submit manually the NOC from previous company along with visa application form.
Without NOC, only 30 days Tourist Visa & 6 month Family Visit Visa can be issued and working on this visa is illegal.

There is some chance if they give نقل کفالا (transfer letter) but not لا مانع / شهادة عدم ممانعة (NOC).
