cancelllation of my RP

guys,
I have resigned from my job and going back to my home country. I want to know when my RP will get cancelled ? supppose if i am getting my exit permit on 3rd of may , whether my RP will be cancelled after getting exit permit or before getting exit permit.
you may stay for a period of time once your rp is cancelled. though not sure if your rp will be cancelled before or after getting the exit permit but as far as i know, exit permits are valid only for a week.
