Chest Xray and Blood test for Residence permit
I am currently working in my home country and have recenty accepted a job offer from Qatar. The employer in Qatar (oil and gas company) sent me medical form to be filled by a doctor in my home country and asked me to get done blood test and chest X-ray as pre employment medical in my home country.
Follwing abnormalities reported in blood test
PERIPHERAL FILM ..............
ANISOCYTOSIS, NORMOCHROMIC
HIGH HCT
? CAUSE
HAEMATOCRIT .............. 48.9 % .............. (41.9-48.7)
Although I am not able to interpret chest X-ray but lab technician who did the X ray pointed out slight white patches on right side. Latter when I presented X-ray to doctor, he asked me if I am smoker (I have never been smoker). Anyway doctor declared X-ray OK and signed the medical form. I have sent blood reports along with original X-ray film to the employer through courier.
What is the probability of any problem in medical for residence permit.
In case employer sends me work visa should I resign from exisitng position or to wait till I obtain residence permit
If you have some patches on your lungs, you are going towards a difficult life for about half year to one year in Qatar. And this is if you are lucky.
Lung patches means lung damage, most probably caused by TB. You should investigate this further BEFORE quiting your job.
Make some sputum and skin test for tuberculosis. If they will come out positive, it's a big chance that your residence permit will be rejected, and you will lose your current job and the new one.
