Family Resident Visa and Family Visit Visa for Expats in Qatar

Every expats family man who live and work in Qatar, they will have an ambition to live together with beloved family.

Here am explaining the simple procedures to get family visa in Qatar:

For applying Family Resident Visa

Family resident visa is an individual sponsored visa, if you have obtained a 'No Objection Certificate (NOC)' from your sponsor / employer / company then you are able to apply for this visa.

This visa can be renewed for 1 to 5 years upon expiry.

Occupation / Profession:

Your occupation in Qatar ID and signed labour contract with employer should be in following:

Engineer, Accountant, Computer Technician, Doctor, Electric Technician, General Foreman etc (Any other Proffessional Visa).

Note*

Occupation for Labour, Technician, Plumber, Driver, Painter etc are not eligible.

Salary:

Minimum total salary should be 10,000 QAR per month including all allowance. Depends on some circumstances, they might accept salary ranging from 8,500 to 10,000 QAR.

If your salary is above 7000 QAR is also acceptable, but employer have provided with a family accommodation that should be mentioned in your labour / employment contract.

Labour / employment contract:

Get labour department attested original copy of signed Labour / employment contract from your sponsor / employer / company.

Tenancy Contract / Housing Agreement / Housing Lease Agreement:

You should arrange a valid tenancy contract / housing agreement from your real estate management / Villa owner.

In case you are provided with family accommodation by the employer / company, this tenancy Contract / Housing Agreement can be get from the employer / company.

Note* Qatar Baladiya / Municipality attestation is mandatory for Tenancy Contract / Housing Agreement / Housing Lease Agreement.

Marriage Certificate / Birth Certificate - Children:

Marriage Certificate / Birth Certificate (Children) need to attest from the respective country embassy / consulate in Qatar and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Qatar.

Bank Statement:

Kindly approach your bank branch for salary credited bank statement for previous 6 months period.

Educational Certificate:

Copy of your highest educational certificate.

No Objection Letter (NOC) letter:

NOC letter should be issued from employer / sponsor should mentioning following details:

Your Name with QID, Occupation / Profession and Nationality.

Salary Details

Spouse / Wife / Children Name with Nationality.

Visa Application Form:

Visa application form need to be filled and signed by you. Better approach any local typing centre.

Following are Documents need to attach along with original copy of Visa Application form:

Visa Application Form (Original signed document).

Both sides of QID / RP (Copy).

Your and wife / children Passport (Copy).

Labour / employment contract (Copy).

Marriage Certificate / Birth Certificate - Children (Copy).

No Objection Letter (NOC) letter (Original signed document).

Educational Certificate (Copy).

Bank Statement (Original signed document).

For applying family visit Visa:

Family visit visa is an individual sponsored visa, if you have obtained a 'No Objection Certificate (NOC)' from your sponsor / employer / company then you are able to apply for this visa.

Maximum stay duration in this visa is 6 months.

Minimum Salary should be 5000QAR per month.

Except Bank statement all Documents need to attach along with original copy of family visit Visa application form.

Following documents are mandatory for applying family Visit Visa:

Salary should be above 5000 QAR

Visa application form

Employer NOC for bringing your wife to Qatar

Employment contract copy.

Marriage certificate required and it should be attested by Qatar Embassy and MOFA

Passport copy of you wife.

Your QID copy

Contract / housing / accommodation agreement.

Remember:

Later, if you are eligible to sponsor a Family Resident Visa, then issued Family Visit Visa can be converted into Family Resident Visa without exit Qatar.

You can submit the visa application through Mobile App Metrash2 (Only for Family Visit Visa) and  immigration office (Both Visit and Resident Visa). Then you will be provided with a receipt with application number.
