Dear Friends,

I’m sharing my experience of applying family visit visa for my parents: -

All you need to do is upload right documents which should be a valid proof of relationship.

I do not have birth certificate with me currently, so I have uploaded my passport copies in place of birth certificate and also mother’s birth certificate is NOT required.

In my case, I had uploaded following documents and it got approved within few hours.

Fill all details as per passport (Please note that, you don’t have to fill all fields in the name blocks – Applicants who have only two names then fill only First name and then last name fields, you can leave all other fields blank)

Start New application -> Fill all details -> Verify and confirm

  1. Upload date of birth certificate (In this section, I have added my passport copies)

Upload visitor’s documents

  1. Upload date of birth certificate (In this section, I have added my mom’s passport copies)
  2. Passport copy (In this section, I have added my NOC)
  3. Passport copy(Others) (In this section, I have added my marriage certificate since I didn’t have my DOB certificate)

Passport is a valid relationship Id proof. I have uploaded my marriage certificate as well because it was attested from Qatar MOFA long back and as replacement of birth certificate ?

Before applying, please note that the above documents should be uploaded as a single image. For instance, passport front and backside images should be combined together and uploaded and also the size of the image should not exceed 150KB.

You can reduce image size online or can even download image size reduce tools.

All the best with your application and remember in prayers ??

Thanks

Hello Everyone

I applied for a family visa for my mother and found really useful information on Qatar Living. I want to share my experience which may help others.

First log-in to metrash 2 on your mobile and start a new application under family visa. Fill in the details of your parents, as for the name my mother has the first name, middle name and family name so I had no issues, but if your applicant has only two names than it wont let you proceed to the next step so better fill in the empty space with father's name.

Next upload the birth certificate of the applicant, in my case my mother didn't have a birth certificate so to prove my relationship to her I printed a photo (only the front not the back) of my Pakistani ID card and my mother ID card next to eachother on an A4 sheet and took a photo and uploaded it. My mother ID card had the husband name and my ID card had my father name proving our relationship. Then click next and you will be asked to upload three documents, a passport copy of the applicant, in my case i uploaded the first page with the photo, name and other details . I did not upload the front or the back of the passport. Second document to upload is your birth certificate, in my case I didn't have a birth certificate so I uploaded an NOC letter from my employer with salary and job title. In the third section of other passport I uploaded my passport photo 1st page with photo and details of myself and my QID. As you can only load one document, I printed the passport photo page and QID front and back on one A4 page, then printed it and took a photo and uploaded it. I did not upload photo of the front or the back of the passport. After submitting I checked the status which showed under process. After 24 hours when I checked again under family visa it was blank and there was no record of my application. I went back to previous screen and clicked on inquiry icon with magnifying glass photo. It showed information about my application but the status was showing cancelled. No reason was given. Anyway I applied again this time instead of uploading saved photos from my phone I took photos by selecting option 'take photo'. I submitted the same documents as above with no changes. After 24 hours I received a text that the visa is approved.

I hope people find my experience useful

Thank you
