NOC & Notice period requriement - after 7 years work in one place
Dear All,
Thank you for reading my query.
I have finished my 7 years from my current company and now looking for change to a new company without exiting Qatar (during this COVID situation). I just want to know the below requirements prior to change
1. My current company won't provide NOC for sure
2. I have my family wife and kid on my sponsor ship
3. Initially, my contract duration in 2013 was for 2 years and then afterwards, its every one year renewal. So, I don't know if this is open or closed contract type. But overall, I have finished 7 years in the current company.
4. Accordingly, what will be the notice period for me even if I am in closed or open type contract , either 30 or 60 days..?
5. What if my current company doesn't accept my resignation (if I emailed to HR or submit by person to HR manager - but still the mangement doesn't approve or discuss and kept pending to respond)
6. Just incase they may say its OK for resignation but what if they renew my QID secretly and put me in a horrible situation.. (Bcoz this same situation happenned with one of my ex collegaue)
7. for instance, if I consider its approved Insha allah by my current employer, then what's the next process and doucments required from current employer in order to proceed further with new employer...
I am really confused... also, there is no proper information for what need to be done... KINDLY ADVISE, I will be really really greatful...
Regards
From your post, your Contract appears to be an open one. As for giving a notice to your company, it should be 30 days unless otherwise specified in the Contract. You can send a resignation to your company through email to the HR Manager. You should do this through your personal computer at home. If they still do not accept, you can take the assistance of the National Human Rights Committee. They will help you out, or guide you on your next step.
As for the NOC requirement, I don't think you need one as you have already completed 5 years with the same employer. However, I am not very sure of this and please wait for comments from other QLers with more knowledge on the matter than I do.
