Pregnancy delivery in Visit Visa

Hi Everyone! Hope you are doing well.

My wife is on visit visa here now & she is in her 7th month pregnancy. Her delivery will be in November & we are planning her delivery here. Our regular checkups are going well in private clinic. Though I am trying to get a permanent visa, please advice what we should do if she continue to be on visit visa.

Is it possible to make an OPD appoinment before labor to open file?

or if we continue in private clinic, how could we proceed during labor?

Thanks in advance for your information.

Emirates Airlines would allow pregnant women to travel until 35 weeks 5 days, if it is uncomplicated single pregnancy. If you want to send them back, choice is available.

This is a recent response from a similar question:

Visit visa ppl just try to have a referal form from any private clinic and go to cashiering section in womens hospital with original PP and visa copy, then ask the registration counter and request for HC Number they will provide you with it and then go to reception and submit the copy of referal form with HC no. written on it along with your mobile then follow up after 3 days on phone about status. Inshallah u will get appointment and from then you can start appointments in HMC and related to charges you will be charged as visitor but gud thing you will not spend as you do in private hospital.

Each appointment - 60 QAR

Ultrasound - 84 QAR

Medicines - Very cheap some times less than 5 QAR

Normal delivery - 1000 QAR

C section - Max 5400 QAR

Shared room - 400 QAR

Circumcision - 600 QAR

All the above are for Visit visa patients if RP process same only difference in charges.

Kindly note all the time on your visit you will be asked to produce ID and healhtcard just remind them u are on visit and show you PP.

While I would suggest she returns home for the delivery, usually airlines do not accept passengers after the 7th month of pregnancy. I would suggest you first get a report of her pregnancy immediately from a doctor and then approach some ticketing agents and see if they could get an airline to fly her back home. In the meantime, you could also visit the Women's Hospital for their for their views. Possibly, (and I repeat possibly) you may have to bear the costs of her delivery here as she is on a visit visa which may be very high compared to costs back home.

I suggest that those people who do not know should not misguide others. Writing just for the sake of writing can lead to painful, sad and tragic consequences.

Please do not abuse me for my above views as what took place in the past.

Hi britexpat, Thanks for the info.

I already have the referral from the private clinic.

Can I visit the womens hospital directly & will they entertain us without health card?

Any idea about the current charges for checkups & for delivery?

Your wife can deliver under family visit visa...

Since she is already seven months, you should contact the Women's Hospital in Doha. for that you will need to get a referral letter from the doctor at the private clinic you have been visiting ..
