Qatar Job Change by Exit/Re-Entry?

Hey Guys!

I'm working with a company under a fixed term contract. The contract will terminate two years from now. Meanwhile, I've received a job offer from another company in Qatar. Is it possible to switch companies?

I understand that a NOC will be needed from my old employer if I were to do the switch with my existing RP.

Is it possible for my old employer to cancel my RP so that I can exit the country? And then my new employer can sponsor a new Visa for my re-entry? I read somewhere that the two-year ban on a new work visa has been abolished. Will I be subject to the ban if I terminate my contract before it ends?
