Hello there , my wife and son is more than 6 months outside Qatar now(311days already) and they want to return to Qatar. If I apply them a Return Permit by February 3, then up to when they need to enter Qatar?Return permit still valid upto March3? Another question, can I apply Return Permit through Metrash2 while I am in Philippines? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Return Visa or Re-entry Permit is a temporary document that has 14/30 days validity. The sponsored person has to return to Qatar within the validity period. Return visa can be issued even in cases where the person has stayed out for more than 6 months (provided that his Residence Visa is still valid).

Also, if they are in home country and son schooling in home country, you should ask the school for a letter.

When we were schooling, my parents used to get a letter from our school so we could be out of Qatar for more than 6 months. We used to come for Christmas & NY and then Summer hols.

You would best be advised by an Immigration officer. Per my knowledge; if your family has Qatar Res permit, they cannot be out of the country for more than 6 months, they would need to enter Qatar b4 6 months and then leave. In your case visit the immigration office and pay a fee and it could be all ok, unless rules have changed.

I would strongly advise checking with immigration office or your HR dept. Wish you all the best.
