Sponsorship change application under process

Dear QL users,

I have submitted my application for sponsorship change on 12th March 2019 and I have checked the status several times online and it shows "under process"

I have an emergency back home and wanted to exit and come back to complete my sponsorship change, but my employer refused to provide me exit permit on the grounds that either I complete the transfer and provide new residency permit or cancel my existing residence permit to exit the country.

I am stuck now, feel helpless and my family needs my urgent presence, can someone please guide me, what shall I do?

Its been nearly three weeks for my sponsorship change application, does it take so long?

best regards,

Please note that processing times may vary due to several factors, including the completeness of the application and verification requirements. Thank you once again. I had happened to visit the immigration office this morning and met with the captain, he requested me to come back tomorrow. Hoping a big help from him.

Sir, a government system is not set up specifically to meet the requirements of individual or unique cases but for the mass in general.

Since you are facing a great urgency, I suggest you go over to the immigration office and meet the captain. Explain to him the situation with regards to your transfer and the emergency situation you are facing. Possibly, he may help you out. They are very cooperative, understanding and helpful people.

Thank you for your comments. Systems are meant to facilitate the well being and welfare of the employees and at the same time safeguard the interests of the organization. If an employee needs help in urgency, shouldn't the system be able to address his concern properly?

I guess you are taking things the wrong way. You should realize there is a system in place. That system does not allow you to avail a leave in the current state. You can either go on exit or just be patient for the entire process to complete. I understand your situation well, but there are such situations in life where one is just helpless. This is one such situation.

After having worked for so many years, can't the employer trust the employee and allow him to leave the country and come back to complete the formalities.

I have even provided the bank clearance letter upon their request in order to process my exit permit. What is preventing the employer to provide an exit permit, as I do not see any risks towards the end? I am ready to provide even a financial guarantee and personal sureties if there is a doubt on my return.

If I cancel the RP, I was informed that it will take 4 days, it is not serving the purpose of going home in an urgency.

Sorry, but I believe in your situation, your employer is right. It is just unfortunate for you that a situation has taken place back home that needs your immediate return but in life sometimes one needs to take hard decisions. If you value your family over your job, then quit and leave. It all depends on the gravity of the situation back home whether it allows you to stay here till the completion of your transfer. You are the only one who can judge.
