Resident visa for 69 year old Indian parent

Dear Team,

My father is loving here in Qatar . He has arrived through the on-arrival visa. I would like to know what exactly is the procedure to get his Resident (yearly) visa.

1) Whether on-arrival can be converted, or

2) I need to apply a fresh.

3) Considering the age, will there be any issue?

I have applied family visit visa for my mother in law, it shows under process with visa number and validity, when I can print it

Wat Nirmal said i agree and adding to his point 2nd level dependent (like Dad, Mom) cannot get RP inside qatar & they can come only by visit visa, & only wife and kids can get RP. and regarding converting on arrival visa to visit visa not possible in current suitation this may change in future

From what i have heard till now, for 60+, you can only get on arrival visa.

The system does not allow for Family visit and residency permit for 60+, however, in some exceptional cases one can approach immigration office and request for RP.
