Work visa change before travel to Qatar
By adel123654 •
Hi Everyone,
I appreciate your assistance to help me resolve this issue. i have accepted an offer from an employer and signed off the offer letter and issued a work visa for me but I have not travelled yet to Qatar. In the meantine, I got another much better offer from another company with more long term. Can the new company issue another single entry work visa for me? I need your help please as I don't want to miss the new job.
@goodlittleboy
I would be grateful if you could suggest what if I had been issued a work visa, but my circumstances have changed and I won’t be able travelling to Qatar? And if the employer won’t cancel it, will it affect somehow my possible future employment in Qatar? Thanks a lot in advance
You are putting your feet in two boats at the same time. Both the boats will move away. You will land in the water with a splash, with a bottom all wet.
You will be a loser from all sides. If you take this step, your employer will terminate your services immediately and then also not cancel your visa. This will prevent your new employer from getting a work visa issued for you.
Do you recommend that I tell my new employer about the visa? I am concerned that they might not like the fact that I had already been issued a work visa?
No. No. No and no. There is just one way: the company that has issued you the visa must cancel that visa. Only then can your new employer apply for your visa. NOC does not come into play at all.
Does this trigger an NOC requirement?
It has to be cancelled by the company that issued it. There cannot be two visas in the system for one person which would show he is working for two different organizations. I hope you understand the situation. Also, even if the visa expires in November as you say, it still needs to be cancelled by the company that had it issued. Cancellation of the visa and Expiry of the work visa are two different matters.
also the work visa validity is until November. will it be automatically cancelled beyond November?

@goodlittleboy, thank you so much for your response. Is it a simple cancellation or Non Objection Certificate (NoC) is required?
No, they cannot.
Since the company which gave you the first offer has already had a work visa issued in your name, the company with the new offer will not be able to get work visa issued in your name until the first visa is cancelled by that employer.
