Aspire Dome is the largest indoor sports dome in the world
We’re almost on the vicinity of the National Day and here’s another interesting fact about Qatar.
Did you know that the Aspire Dome in Qatar is the largest sports indoor stadium in the world?
The Dome is built adjacent to the Aspire Academy, which is a sports academy for young male Qatari athletes that trains them in sports and also provides them a secondary education too.
On the 17th of November 2005, HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani officially opened the Aspire Dome and since then the indoor sports dome has received worldwide recognition and fame.
Aspire Dome is built to offer the highest quality facilities for multiple sports and international events. Also, it could provide a seating capacity of 15,500 across some 13 separate multi-purpose halls.
Not only that, the Dome features an amazing 250,000 sqm of roofed area.
The first largest sporting event held at the Aspire Dome was the 2006 Asian Games. It also hosted the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
It’s doubtlessly a construction that Qatar could be proud of!

What about becoming the country with the least violations of the Labor Laws and Human Rights? That would be a noteworthy record.
Lies, because the Singapore Sports Hub is a mammoth new sports complex containing the East Asian city state's new National Stadium: a 55,000 capacity venue that boasts the notable achievement of being the world's largest dome structure.
