If you had just worded your earlier post on the matter in a better way, it would have been understood more clearly. Several readers realized that you carry a "nose-in-the-air" attitude simply because you have your pockets bulging out with 500 Riyal notes. By the way, where can you find 3 samosas for a Riyal or a plate of chicken Biryani for QR 8 in Doha? The prices for the two items would not even cover the costs.

So let me get this straight. If you are happy to pay 1 riyal for 3 samosas and 8 riyal for a chicken biryani dish then it is up to you. For me, this is a health risk and I'd rather eat at home anything rather than put a-riyal samosas in my stomach. Second, when you earn 30k riyals a month you wouldn't lead the lifestyle of someone who earns 500 riyals (and I wouldn't even question the point of coming here to earn 500 riyals. You'd probably be earning more even in Somalia or Bangladesh), and if you do, then you will be called a stingy in every culture/country.

In other words, my comment was based on logic and common sense, and has nothing to do with me earning piles of cash or looking down on people.

I disagree with yacine.h on his views of Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants. The problem is that he has just too much of cash is his pockets and it makes him look down upon the low-salaried working class. True, such eating places have a table shared by several people; true you do not get to find a fresh napkin on the table but just a box of tissues; true you do not get a bill at the end of your meal; true you do not need to tip the staff serving you; but cleanliness is there, extra rice or bread is served with the staff checking on you regularly if you need some more, plus the food is tasty. And of course, you can freely lick your fingers at the end of an enjoyable meal with no one feeling offended.

Barak O: This is why I always say that such questions are unanswerable. We are all different . We all have differing priorities , needs , lifestyles and objectives.

If you are happy with what you've negotiated , then be content. Don't ask others whether it is worth it

Some comments are racist, I am belongs to category, what Yacine has commented. I am grateful I am laborer eating in cheap restaurant, but not so dirty, as a laborer getting less salary, what's wrong with it. People getting 05 digits of monthly salary, having lavish lifestyle, but at the end of their service no savings.

If you are single you can save at least 15k, but not 20k as some suggested here unless you want to eat all day at those dirt cheap Indian and Bengali restaurants meant for labourers and people with a very low income.
