WATCH: What will Qatar look like in 2030?
What exactly is the Qatar National Vision 2030? The Qatar National Vision 2030 was launched in 2008 and is based upon four ‘pillars’ for establishing a society that is more just, charitable and equal.
The pillars or aims are human, social, economic and environmental development.
The human development pillar is about empowering the Qatari population to sustain and develop their country. Improvements in education, the workforce and healthcare are all necessary for the achievement of this goal.
For social development, preserving the country’s heritage and enhancing its Arab and Islamic identity, while at the same time creating a stable society that is safe and open are the main aims.
The empowerment of women is another central node of this pillar.
In order to maintain and raise the bar when it comes to higher standards of living, economic development and growth, along with innovation all make up the third pillar of the Vision. This requires diversification into other sectors, such as education, and a movement away from dependence upon oil and gas.
The environmental development pillar focuses upon making Qatar more sustainable and environmentally friendly, with a focus on recycling and cleaner forms of energy. Achieving harmony between economic growth, social development and environmental protection is an important focus.
It’s an ambitious vision, but in order for the country to move forward, guidelines and goals— however farfetched—are necessary.

I invisioned it being more underwater if climate change continues the way it is. Let's face it the whole country is at, or just slightly above Sea level. Might be something to prepare for in the future.
God bless Qatar and keep updating the City Good luck
