#WeAreQatar: Local stand-up comedian shows support for Qatar
Qatar has seen an outpouring of support from all around the world since a Saudi-led coalition announced a blockade on the country.
Among the many residents showing love toward the nation was Saad Khan, a local stand-up comedian and long-time inhabitant in Qatar.
Khan's message to his handful of followers touched on how grateful he was for everything Qatar had provided him with. Khan shared the following message on his Facebook page:
Khan is the co-founder of local stand-up comedy troupe, Stand-Up Comedy Qatar (SUCQ), and has been performing regularly in Qatar. Khan is also set to perform alongside American comedian and actor, Marlon Wayans, at Qatar Summer Festival's comedy show.
Khan, who is featured in Qatar Living's latest #WeAreQatar video, is pleased to see platforms like Qatar Living taking initiatives and rallying the community to support Qatar.
Qatar Living created the hashtag #WeAreQatar to consolidate the support Qatar has been getting and it has been trending on social media.
"The #WeAreQatar campaign is a positive initiative and it perfectly captures the sentiments of the Qatar community. Whether we are locals or expats, we all live and work together in this country that we call our home. After gaining so much from this land, it's now time for us to show support and stand united," said Khan.
Khan ended his message saying: "We are locals, we are expats, we are men, women, children, people of all races, religions and ethnicities. We are Qatar!"
