Annual Leave

I am working in a company here in Qatar my joining date is March 25,2018. I took my 1st vacation March 25,2019 then came back from vacation April 25,2019. When i am applying for annual leave for March 25,2020 they said may annual leave is April 25,2020 because that is the date i came from vacation. Can someone explain this to me? Or is that really how things works here ?

Our company operates the same.

Check your employment contract. Annual leave on completion of 12 months after rejoining.

Normally, the annual leave is taken 'within' a calendar year. It is not normal to take an annual leave 'after' one year.
