Annual Mangrove Tree Planting &Beach Cleaning
As part of Qatar Gas, Rasgas and the Filipino community regards to the environment, the Annual Mangove Tree planting and beach cleaning activities at the marsland of Al-khor and Dakhira municipalities is again in the process of planning the event. Filipinos and other nationalities are once again encourage to join and be part of this grandous annual event.

...and I just cannot say it always need saline water to survive.
Well there're also some mangrove trees in the Amazon River. Is Amazon River saline water?

I dont know if you understand the word "marshland". It is a place near the seashore that if nip tide reaches the mangrove area it will actually waters & feed the young mangrove samplings. Mangrove plant can only survive in sea water or saline water. Also, please refer to the link provided before you comment.

I think there ain't even a polar bear in the Philippines.
That will have to be for the Arctic expatriates to handle this one...

Excellent Idea, Kudos to the rasgas Filipino community! They can even bring in some Polar bears here in Qatar. It would be good cultural exchange, supposing the local camels can hone their fishing skills and make some new friends. Cool Idea!!!
It has to be planted near the body of water/river/beach or something...but I wonder if the mangrove can survive the tests of a humid or dry climate here...
