Do you believe that Qatar's regulation and Culture could affect you?

Hello everyone!

I am wrriting a paper on how Individual's learning is dependant upon the organisational structure and practice. However, my main arguement will consist of several premises as I will be tackling the workers in Qatar and how we are here for several reseaons.

Each has his/her own resean, as each bring with them their life history, culture, prior experience etc to reach a specific objective that could be a career explosure, providing family needs, good education for their children etc.

Having said that, do you believe that the Qatari regulations and culture, is somehow affecting your career progress and learning at your jobs through manipulating with your organization's structure and work practices? or  it could be on a personal level, like for example I heard that Qatar airways, have strict rules for their staff, like curfew, pregnancy etc...

I would love to hear your input.

Muff , You can't dream about any discipline without strict rules from your home to big corporate cos ......... even birds like sparrows, parrots etc follow very very strict rules , they don't fly in the dark or night .... would you call it a curfew ? Who forced a curfew on them ? Had they complained about it to anyone till now ? ...... Have a positive perspective to the life to understand how the world goes round ... ..

All the qatar regulations are based on the idea that they can exploit the expats and get away doing almost anything they want, religion is used as a shadow to coverup.

Well this paper will be submitted to the University of Leicester. Meanwhile, in my paper I am discussing the adult learning from an HR perspective and how can the global context and the productive systems influence our learning. Therefore, I am proving how the productive system exerts powerful influences over individual workplaces. And I am gathering real life experiences to prove my point, for example the NOC's , the permission for exit and so on. how these regulations put forward by the organization can influence the degree of your belonging and motivation in an organization.

where will this paper you speak of be published? and when? other than that, if writing a research paper, you only ask for input from your subjects; you do not discuss nor influence or give them your own views.

OMG !!! this is terrible!!! I've also noticed that the salaries are allocated based on nationalities and not experience/ qualifications which is just ridiculous!!!!

Hi,

I have been in Qatar for last 2 years.Unfortunately I dont have anything to say good... really sorry for that... Here I observed labors are treated like animals. Most of the managers simply thinking that they only a working tool. Second thing about rules you asked.... really really sorry ... as far as workers concerned it is hopeless... Actually here labor laws are good but when it comes to implementation needless to say... No hope at all.. Just it is for the benefit of the company... forget about career development and all... it is not good for employees at all... I want say... fed up I am not a labor but I cannot tolerate it when i see the injustice towards labors here... It is an islamic Country but there is not islamic way of excutions here... It is not matching with islam what I have learned about isalm... Allah forgive them... there are lot of things to say... but... I feel that will not make any sense to any authorities... sorry if I hurt anybody....
