Hi,

I've been in qatar for almost two months... And from the very first time i've step my foot in this country i applied to various job. I was just wondering, is it really that hard to find job in qatar during this time?

I've received a call from one company and they told me that they are going to call me once more to tell when will be my interview, but then, its been a month without any back call, what do you think about it? should i not expect of their call anymore?

Hoping for your honest response...
Hope someone can help me...

Hey

I am in the same shoes, been here for 2 months and still looking for some kinda work in the MBA, IT field :s

From what I see, I should have done some Civil Engineering or related degree because there is hardly any vacancies in the field I am looking for.

I also had one call from a potential employer and went in for the interview, he said he will discuss with his partner what salary he can offer and I am still awaiting his call, its been a month.

Its a struggle :(

Hi. I'd like to ask if it is really hard to find job there especially to those ho have limited experience.

Im a CPA and been working in audit firm as external auditor in Philippines for a year and a month now. Im about to be in Qatar before the year ends to join my sister and father who already working there. Now im so worried if there are a lot of opportunities awaits me there.

Thanks

Do you guys suggest that the goverment offices will work much slower during Ramadan? I have read here on the forum that usually processing time for geting your work visa is 2-6 weeks...is it possible for a company to speed this up?

I hope you will find before ramadan , but Im sure that after ramadan you will find a lot of jobs cause the goverment will submit lot of new work.

May god guide you

Good Luck!!

Keep applying everywhere, don't give up my friend, it's not the high season now for recruiting and employment, most people are on vacation. Maybe you'll receive calls before Ramadan, if not, keep on trying.

Please visit the Egyptian Group on QL, you will find many links that may be of help to you.

bless you..:)

Yes, it's very hard. There's a global recession if you hadn't noticed.
