Help me
Dear All,
My name is shakil ahmad. I am ACCA qualified and british national and came to Doha on visit visa. One company(Green Energy & Environmental Services Co) give me job as accountant. They told me that there is some admin work also i have to take care of. They told me a salary of QAR 10000 and family visa. I disagree with the salary. They said we are preparing an employment contract and will increase the salary in two month time when we will sign the contract. It is more than three months now but They did not give me any offer letter and employment contract. When i insist about the employment contract they said that they are preparing the contract and will bring to me for signiture soon. In the mean time they asked me to bring my passport and educational certificate. I took the passport and told them that the certificate need to be legalise to use in qatar. I sent the documents to UK and Pakistan for the attestation. One day they give me my passport with work visa as accountant. I was surprised that how they got the visa without my documents.
They asked me to get the medical check and finger print for id card. I was worried about the all this what happening. I asked some friend about this he said they can not get id card without the employment contract. One day they bring the employment contract and asked me to sign. When i read the contract i was not satisfied and did not sign the contract. They said ok we will discuss and change it. Then one day i came to know that they managed to get my id card without my employment contract.
I was so worried about the situation. On other hand the work was full of admin(prepare tender form, Photocopies, Recovery, Going to bank for deposit money, Emailing, booking hotels etc) This was totally against my profession and experience. The behaviour of the GM became very agressive after the conversion of my visa and every time he threatened me and speak in a load voice like shouting.Many times He said to me that he is giving me a salary for two person. He told me in a very harsh way that he will not accept a signal mistake from now.
The situation became worse and i was unable to bear this any more. Last week i made a humble request that this job is not in my area of expertise and please cancel my visa and give NOC. so i can go and come back to search any other job in my feild. I will train a person on this job for one month and will ready to pay all the expenses for his visa.
He said give me some time to think. I gave one week. After one week he told me that i have two option
1. Work 30 days and he will cancel my visa and will not give me NOC.
2. Work until december 2014 he will give me NOC in Dec.
Both options are not good for me. As there is no agreement between us. Now he is threatening that he will report other wise i have to work for 30 days. He has not give me the salary for May 2014 until now.
Please help me in this case.
Dear, if you are a UK citizen, better go to the british embassy ASAP and explain everything. this should help. they will advise you accordingly, to complain in the labor, other legal steps, etc.
are you British national or Pakistani get citizen in British. , if you donot go for finger print , you can go your country and come back immediately and find another job., they are not well educated to treat human being..
